I personally am having trouble with calling this fight.
I know that I want Trinidad to beat the **** out of Mayorga.

I cant stand Mayorga at all. Hes a bum who has heavy hands. I'd like Trinidad to test Mayorga's stamina in this fight too considering hes a ****in partying, drinking,smoking rapist.

Mayorga showed he has good stamina at welterweight but I don't know about at 160. It doesn't matter anyway Trinidad is going to knock him out within six rounds. If that doesn't happen then Mayorga will just take a beating for however long it last.

Depends on how much rust trinidad has on him, I believe he stripped that in training (or I hope)...The obvious pick would be trinidad but with the way upsets are going it could be mayorga, but ricardo is being setup as a fall guy in this fight....Trinidad should be able to box circles around the wildman....Im going with trinidad just because I hate mayorga and would love to see him box his ears out and make them bleed and choke on his own blood....Tito will punish this man!

Another thing I would like to point out is that Mayorga is jumping up in weight to damn fast....He was 147 jumped up to 154 and had like 1 fight their and then went up to 160 and is a middleweight now?

I pick Tito by UD, only because Tito has to be aware of Mayorga's power and Mayorga has shown he has a good chin. I'm not forgetting about Tito's power but I think he may just play it safe and outbox Mayorga forr his first fight back.

Its a close fight - Trinidad's layoff and Mayorga' untested power at 160 will make it interesting.

I think I'll go with Tito TKO round 3. It won't be a long fight.

I just cant wait to see this slugfest dont be surprise if both guys taste canvas. I cant make up my mind on this fight. My gut says Tito is just a better fighter and Mayorga is too wild. But my head says Tito will get caught cold early and KO'd. Tito's layoff is a BIG factor in the fight, Mayorga should jump on Tito early...dont like Tito get settled in the fight. Tito is known for getting dropped early. But I can see Tito landing his short compact punches to Mayorga's wild haymakers. I'll make up my decision on who's going to win after I see how both fighter's look at the weigh in.

This fight will be more enjoyable for me than DLH/Hop. I didn't really care who won that fight. I am fans of both Tito and Mayorga. This makes it difficult to decide who I want to win. I always like the underdog, but when the crowd starts chanting TITO I'll probably be chanting right along with them. It's impossible to resist! They're gonna have to shut down the capital of Puerto Rico again cuz Tito is coming home a winner and its gonna be time to party. Tito by TKO!!

i am from nicaragua but at first i didnt want mayorga to win..i wanted tito...why..cuz i dont care what others say i wanna see a hopkins/tito rematch or tito/oscar...but i was watching the preview for this fight after the dlh/hopkins fight and saw a videoof where the weighting in mayorga and his eating pizza....on the scale!!!...i was like wtf..lololol..this guys is great for boxing in the sense that he brings alot of drama to itand funny moment ...like when he was blowing smoke in larry's face after he beat forrest...i dont know anymoe i like them both..but if i had to day right now....i am changing it

i had Tito up by 2 points it was a close fight. i bet my whole paycheck on Tito, which wasn't much i was a PFC at the time.

How can you win a match just by the last few rounds?
I thought it was a bull**** decision and haven't liked him since.
Not that I liked him prior to that match.

if it wasnt for the two year layoff by trinidad i would say easy 1st round knockout for trinidad but because of the layoff im going to favor trinidad in 5 simply put he needs to lose the rust but wont be suprised if mayorga pulls it out in 5 also.
one way or the other expect one rough and exciting fight i will be in the crowd so it better be at least 4 rounds :D

While I disagree in that I think Tito will be the winner by KO, I agree with you when you say that this is going to be a war! For every body who was hoping that the Hopkins/De La Hoya fight was going to be some sort of epic battle- you may very well cash in on this fight, I am positive that fireworks are gonna fly!!

I just can't wait to see this fight. I have supreme confidence that tito is going to win. One week and a half and I will finally get to see this fight.

The wrap issue is pure nonsense.

Naz Richardson, one of Hopkins' handlers, came out shortly after Hopkins-Tito & stated that the way Trinidad wrapped his hands was not the reason he was such a power hitter. He said the wraps made little difference, & the Hopkins camp did it just to show Tito who was the boss, basically.

i dont think its gonna be a big war like most think, i expect mayorga to pressure tito but i dont think tito is gonna come out bangin, there's no way he would do that from the very begining. tito has good skills and i think he will be boxing early. the later rounds, its hard to say, tito may end up in more and more exchanges.

I think Mayorga is going to come out swinging early and attempt to take Tito out. Tito will be able to move away from his wild punches and Mayo will start to tire by rd 4. Tito will then start to light him up with power shots and take him out by the 6th.

mayorga threw bombs for 12 rounds straight against spinks, although that was at alot less weight, still mayorga is a finely contioned athelete and i think he'll be in good shape for tito. if mayorga gets tired it wont be until later rounds. besides, we all know hes gonna knock tito out. :D

I don't see Mayorga rushing out against Tito. At least I don't think he is that dumb. I don't think he is dumb enough to stick his chin out either. Tito isn't going to be afraid the way Mayorga thinks. I say Tito within 6 rounds. Mayorga's talk is not to be taken serious because he says all this stuff about his opponents and then apologizes after the fight.

FElix needs some rounds to be comfortable in this fight and that won't happen mayo will be all over him early, i think mayo could fight ibeabuchi and still try to walk through him. This fight looks easy on paper for Trinidad, but Trinidad is the big ? here. Rust can kill ya, however I am pickin' Trinidad by k.o. I say Trinidad is going to deal Mayorga a beating he will never forget. This is it for Mayorga, he has reached the top. Tito hasn’t fought in awhile but I don’t doubt at all that his skills are still intact. Mayorga is just a flailing fool, he is more suited to street fighting. He got lucky against Vernon Forrest in the second fight, he got beaten by Cory Spinks and struggled against a very average middleweight in Eric Mitchell. He has no defence, his boxing ability is terrible and the only reason why he gets all these fights is because Don King made him who he is. Tito will prove to the world what a true fighter can do and that’s make the likes of Mayorga look like a through and through amateur. I know Mayorga will be a good test for Tito as a comeback fight and that’s what impresses me even more about Tito. Most fighters comeback against bums to make themselves look good but Tito has comeback to an active dangerous fighter. This fight will be amazing but I can see Mayorga been in for a big shock, Tito is a great power puncher with both hands and I think Mayorga is seriously underestimating his power.

In the past Tito has gotten 1st round KO's and to be totally honest I wouldn't be surprised if Mayo gets put on the canvas in round 1. Its okay to disrespect a fighters skills but if Mayo is dumb enough to think Tito has no power he will get KO.

Tito taking on Mayorga in a come-back fight attests to the kind of man he is. The opposition that Roy Jones is taking on after a loss and Toney's Booker date after a lay-off caused by injury (which was much shorter than what Tito had) become obscene when compared to what Trinidad is doing.
