I think their is a real good chance of this happening if Bas comes out of retirement. Who do you think's gonna win and do you even think its gonna happen, if not why?

I would love to see that happen but Bas wouldn't be able to come straight out of retirement and go for the title would he? And besides there are other people in front of Bas looking for the title (Randleman). I would like to see Bas come out of retirement to fight anyone, Bas kicks ass.

bas is cool and good and all that but i dont think he can hang with silva!

it's kinda hard to say which way this would go. i think that bas's main objective would be that he's been out of commission for so long. it would take him a while to get back into gear to go rounds w/ silva.

however, i know that bas is known for having great workouts so i'm pretty sure he could do it. bas has a lot of heart too so i think that would come into play

i voted for bas because i don't think silva's fury would be enough to stop him. i see silva dominating the 1st two rounds but bas would come in strong later. ref stoppage due to strikes in the 5th round is my prophesy

I am behind Old Man Rutten all the way.

On paper Bas should own Silva. He's a better stand-up fighter, and a far, far better grappler. Bas' powerful and extremely STRAIGHT shots could be a problem for Silva.

That being said though, Silva is in fact an animal and can't really be predicted. He has a shot to beat just about anybody at this point IMO.

I think Bas in his prime could beat Silva in his prime. Bas IMO is a better and smarter striker with better submissions. Right now I think Vanderlei would win.

If this does ever happen and I sure hope it does, I think Bas could take silver by a big KO

At every Pride PPV Bas says he wants Silva
He always gives him tons of respect but he says he would LOVE to fight him
The PPV where Royce commentated the match between Silva and Sak Stevie Q asked Royce if he would fight Silva and he was like uhhhh uhhhhh but Bas was like "I would love to fight him"

I go with Silva just cuz he is better on the ground than Bas (Silva is a Brown belt in BJJ I think)

Bas has been looking more and more fit at each pride. Something seems to be up with him.

This one is tough. I have to go with Silva on this one. Personally I don't want to see either fighter lose.

THere is no question. Period. Bas is awesome but he would lose.

I've come to conclusion that all the newbies voted for Bas. Come on people... Bas retired and he hasn't been active. Silva is at his prime and he looks way better than Bas when he was at his prime. Silva would cut Bas's face into hamburger.
