View Full Version : Top songs in the club..
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 10:14 PM What are some club tracks (reggaeton, hip hop, rock, trance blah blah blah) that really wanna make you dance up on another chick.
I won't make a top 10 list, but here are some catchy ****in' ones that I liked:
1) Daddy Yankee - La Gasolina
2) Laffy Taffy- I forgot who it's by (****in catchy song in the club, trust me)
3) Turn it up - Chamil ft. Lil Flip
...and the list goes on. Name some.

It's funny how everyone here keeps whining about Laffy Taffy...I agree it is a pretty ****ing WACK song if you're just relaxing and listening to it...
But I'm guessing 90% of the people say that have never went to a party or club...
The best club song is....
Rakata - Wisin y Yandel
Tha Greatest 06-06-2006, 10:23 PM Imagine if they played Mos Def and Talib Kweli at clubs...
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 10:25 PM LOL, they played alot of reggaeton/micky mouse rap here. I couldn't imagine listening to someone chill like Big L/Nas/Rakim/Mos etc. at a club. I just think it would be ****ed. I gained a little respect over the weekend for artists that make club songs. Just a little though

I agree bro..
I respect Mos, Rakim, Kool G Rap, and them...but music isn't all about lyrics...
It seems that anything that has a catchy beat is a wack song according to people here...
Anyone that is on tv is a "sell out"

thats cause they want them to not make it like themselves ;)

Yeah, I agree with bro.
I understand that lots of radio is crap.
But there is still some good stuff, just different. Imagine going to a club listening to Eric B and Rakim....LOL
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 10:49 PM LOL. THat would be hilarious greatest. There are some tracks from non-commerical artists that you could play at a club but not many.
Examples would be:
Talib Kweli- We got the beat

Yeah, I feel that.
But the majority is more to just kickback and relax.
It seems that most people here ONLY kickback and relax and NEVER party...
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 11:04 PM name some names, greatest. ;)
-Nova- 06-06-2006, 11:07 PM at parties i go to, its jae millz - bring it back and smitty - diamonds on my neck
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 11:08 PM I'm listening to Ras Kass right now, dude is a ****ing MONSTER on the mic. He doesn't have a club feel to his songs but I wouldn't care if his **** was played in the clubs. His production is TIGHT.
But yeah, Greatest, who here kick backs and relaxes, and doesnt party? Name some names. ;)
Tha Greatest 06-06-2006, 11:29 PM Anything reggaeton...
With the exception of
Calle 13
Tego Calderon
Vico C ----- Legend, but I don't think his **** is good for clubs...
Pa'l Mundo is the best clubbing album....by Wisin y Yandel..
Pure classic..
sisforshaq 06-06-2006, 11:31 PM I think my favorite "commercial club rap song" is Outta Control Remix, that beat is unreal.
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 11:35 PM That's so true. 50 has insane beats. ANy one of his songs you could play at a club and it would be HOT.
You heard War by Camron?
Smokin' 06-06-2006, 11:35 PM Literally everything, people come to my house to watch a fight, they're hearing everything. Rakim, Wu-Tang,2pac,Digital Underground, Cypress Hill, James Brown, Prince, Dilated Peoples, you name it. East Coast has more classic albums, West Coast has more party albums, both equally as entertaining.

Now, in NY we like it dark and hard.
So some of the tracks they play in our clubs these days
Dibiza -- Danny Tenaglia
Erotic Discourse -- Paul Woolford
Same Man -- Til West
I could go on forever.
BTW, these are all gouse tracks,
IN NY, we fukin hate trance.
BTW these three tracks represent three genres
Hard, Minimal(tech) and Funky.

Snoop and DPG - Ain't No Fun
Nas and Bravehearts - Oochywally
Sean Paul - Temperature
Sister Nancy - No No No
E-40 ft. Keak Da Sneak - Tell Me When To Go
Kelis - Bossy
Bubba Sparxxx - Ms. New Booty
mic573 06-07-2006, 06:30 PM To tell you the truth I really don't know the names of most of the songs that are playing in the club.
I agree with what was said though. Who goes to the club to listen to complex lyrics?
oldgringo 06-07-2006, 07:08 PM depends what clubs you go to. some lounge-like clubs will play some serious after hours hip hop that's amazing. **** like i get around, uknowhowwedu, electric relaxation, we can freak it, etc has been bumped in this more low-key club i've been to.
i haven't been to a club recently though so i couldn't tell you what they play. last time i went they were playing stuff like faith evans, akon, juelz santana, BEP....
