It looks like he has a little too much in common with RJJ.

Yeah no it doesn't. And it looks like he doesn't have RJJ power which he had at the lower weight classes ie MW and SMW. At SMW he was 9-0 with 7 KOs.

His chin looked pretty bad but maybe it was just a early career fight. Alot of fighters have been hurt early in there careers and some good ones have been dropped

Ward's young but I really can't see him being a factor. He really doesn't have much power and at that weight that's not good. He doesn't remind of RJJ, he reminds me of David Reid.

Remeber that Hopkins lost his first fight as a pro. Ward definitly needs time to developm and it would be better if he wasn't on TV right now, but I won't count him out at all.

When fighting pro its going to take time to adjust, in the amateurs he wasnt getting hit like that because of the headgear and in the gym he isnt getting his clocked clean. He probably gets a shock up his spine when hit but he will eventually adjust once he is more accustomed to the open punches.

You know I was going to say the same thing, it actually suprised me knowing that he won gold, must have been a weak year for that division at the olympics

I agree that it is too early to tell. But I really wasn't that impressed with his chin. But this could be one of those things everyone looks back on and says that it was just inexperience.

I dunno but it could be sad for the country if he loses anytime soon, he shouldnt have fought a guy 7-0, i think it was to early.

True, but remember that for Hopkins first fight he fought at 177 lbs. Wards needs to drop 1 or 2 weight classes. At this point I am leaning towards 2.

i dont like ward at all
hes cleary tryin to rip off roy jones style
from the way he walks around
to the way he avoids punches
to the way he tries ot throw them
but hes just not as quick as roy
he seems slower den roy did when he was KOd
unless he changes his style
i dont see this kid goin 2 far

I was making a connection with some of the things you said about this kid and your "El Horrible" Morales.
