View Full Version : How to get my wrist/forearms bigger Jabz 05-29-2006, 12:05 PM ? Should I just lift weights half way or is it another technique ? Ukr_Alex 05-29-2006, 12:27 PM hmmm, for the exception of Wlad I never really notice riped fighters with big forearms. I guess a good way is to put something heavy in your hand amd bend the wrist back and forth. PunchDrunk 05-29-2006, 12:29 PM Lift weights half way??? .. Southpaw Stinger 05-29-2006, 12:31 PM Isn't it just genetics as to whether you have large forearms or not? I have a large frame but my wrists are very slim and my forearms are nothing special. Well yeah, but like everything else, of course you can train your forearms bigger. I don't see where lifting weights half way comes in, though... fraidycat 05-29-2006, 12:59 PM Exercises for forearm and grip strength: 1.) Reverse-grip curl. Hold a dumbbell in your hand with your palm facing the floor. Do a regular bicep curl, but keep your palm facing the floor. "Preacher curls" this way will really kill your hands and forearms. 2.) Zottman curls. Do a bicep curl, with your palm facing UP on the contraction (coming up), and facing DOWN on the eccentric (going down.) 3.) Drill a hole in the middle of a 12" piece of 1" wooden dowel. Run a 3' piece of line through the hole. Attach a weight (anything; I use a 5-lb. plate) to the line at one end, and knot it off at the other. Raise and lower the weight by twisting the dowel. wiso2008 05-29-2006, 02:44 PM Beat your meat 4 times a day with each hand that works...LOOALLALALLAOOAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHH Kid Achilles 05-29-2006, 06:00 PM Deadlifts with a thick bar. Also, go to this site http://www.ironmind.com/ironcms/opencms/ironmind/ and look near the bottom of the page for John Brookfield's grip tips. blockhead 05-29-2006, 06:02 PM wrists dont really get bigger but forearms do. i have forearms like popeye. they are freakish. mgkirkpatrick 05-29-2006, 11:40 PM hmm some pro bodybuilders dont even do specific forearm exercises.. i think they sorta come with all the other exercises.. however reverse grip curls are pretty good Kwik-Swing 05-30-2006, 07:35 AM http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/639189/2/istockphoto_639189_sports_gear.jpg I always thought these worked nicely mr. sandman 05-30-2006, 07:59 AM that they do. i use 'em regularly, they're great for forearm 'brittleness'. Kwik-Swing 05-30-2006, 08:04 AM I love em, a great workout and really helps your wrists from bending or just giving your forearms and wrists more stability. Not to mention give alot more speeed in the speed bag, in my opinion. platinummatt 05-30-2006, 12:14 PM pullups are good for forearms JerryJigsaw 05-30-2006, 01:00 PM For bigger forearms you should try to lift weights from their knee with a barbell, then reversed with light dumbells, and your forearms will be bulging before you know it. mayweather 05-30-2006, 01:40 PM i guess but thats not what they are for if you want forearm strength/size then do wrist curls/reverse wrist curls/reverse barbell curls/regular barbell curls/ or anything with a a bar like deadlifts. try the grip machine too. your wrists wont get any bigger just ur forearms vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
