i had a subscription with the ring and forgot to re-new it. if you are a fan of boxing it is def worth it(unless you live close to a magazine stand). it has thier ranking and the most recent abc rankings as well. good features on different fighters and fights are also included

I think so..it's a hell of alot better than running all over town trying to find the newest edition each mo.! There are a few advantages in having them delivered to your door...I get the new one before it hits the stores for one thing. Anyway, I like the Ring, but out of the 5 I've subscribed to, World Boxing is my favorite, cause it covers stuff that the Ring, K.O., etc. doesnt ;)

Can anyone tell me where I can subscribe to it? I've been to every big bookstore and spot near me in NJ and nobody carries it. Any idea?

Thats crazy! Bookstores are the best place to find them, and if we have them here in Tennessee, then you HAVE to have them in N.J.!! I just bought one at the store and the form is inside the mag..just had to fill it out and send a money order in with it. It took over 10 weeks for me to get my first one, but after that it's a new one (sometimes 2 since I've subscribed to 5 total) every mo. If you cant find on at the bookstore (Book Warehouse is where theyre at here) then you might find one at a convience store..some of them around here carry them too. Good luck, and if all else fails, you can give me your address and I can mail you an order form out of my mag..if you want.

I cant believe Ring doesnt even have a website.

Im not a fan of magazines due to that the news is usually delayed compared to the web and that is where its at for a lot of news. Some exclusives are nice, but the news and rankings are worthless if you are online.

Im a huge fan of Ring Extra myself and got a subscription to that but being bi-monthly kind of sucks.

Thats a rip off. He can get the Ring and Ring X-tra combo for $42.00..that way he gets an edition of the Ring one mo. and an edition of Ring X-tra the next mo..Spinks is right, if you get just one or the other you get them bi-monthly..World Boxing is every 3 mo's and so is Boxing2005. K.O. is bi- monthly too.

Tracylee, how much is a month subscription out of the order form in your magazine? Any different than from amazon.com because that's a crazy lot of money for not even a full yr's worth if it's 10 issues. I don't even subscribe to 20 dollars a year mags! 50 is just crazy!

This is the deal..you can get the Ring and the Ring X-tra (very good mag. and twice the size as the Ring!!) combo for $42 and you'll get a mag every mo. One mo. it will be the Ring, and the next mo. it will be Ring X-tra. Also, K.O. is $19 (6 mag's..bi-monthly) and Boxing2005 and World Boxing combo is $23 (3 mag's each..every 3 mo's)..like I said, I can mail you an order form for any of the above if you want :)

I've been subscribing to Ring for a few years and I love the content of the magazine, but the book has some serious issues. I cant believe they have no website either. Also I subscribe to both Ring and Ring extra and I have no idea how many issues I'll get or when I'll get them. It's like you get an issue in January that talks about the fights from December and is maked Summer '05-- I'm like what the hell?

but with all that said I still love the magazine

So far RING has the votes . . . count me in I'm for RING MAG also. Even experts refer to it as the "BIBLE of BOXING" so who are we to dispute that. ;)

The stories are all old news by the time we get them, but I collect all 5 mag's and there is alot of info in them that just is not on the net..for instance, there is a section called "the Sweeter Science" and it's about the female boxers and even has a p4p list for them, etc. I couldnt live without my mags! :o

The Ring, KO, & World Boxing are all published by the same company.
They may even have some of the same writers contributing to ach mgazine.

I first starting reading the Ring back in '81. Bert Sugar was the editor-in-chief.....& the magazine was an absolute piece of art.
It was so full, so detailed....beautiful photographs....great stories.
The recap of the more important fights was incredible.....& the little synopsis of the lesser fights was the the best thing about a perfect boxing magazine.

None of them.Especially Ring, which went downhill once the people from KO took over.If forced to choose, I'll say Boxing Illustrated.
