Got to do some research on how legalized gambling is good for the national economy (so I guess I cant count indian casinos) and hope to hear from people from other states, Is gambling illegal in any state?

It's legal up here in Ontario, Canada, though the government limits the number of casinos. Quebec has even looser rules...they have video lottery terminals in most bars. You might want to google stuff about them...it's not in the States, but our economies are not that much different, despite what people on both sides of the border like to think  .

I think its legal as long as the state gets a piece of the action. In Cali there are some card clubs and the state lottery. The only casinos that I know of are Indian. Indian casinos are a different stroy since they are technically not part of the state. Im not sure how that **** works.

If its illegal in any state I would guess it would be Utah.

The only gambling that is legal here in Texas is the lottery.

Indiana only has gambling on riverboats. Unless you count the Hoosier Lottery...

Both of those are recent additions. It was totally illegal a decade or so ago...

Here in Iowa they have pretty strict control over gambling. In Des Moines they have a horse track and casino. They have just added gamming tables, before all they had was the horse races and slot machines. I believe there is a dog track in Dubuque, not sure if its still there or not. In my town last year we voted to allow a river boat casino. It turns out that it wont be a boat at all but it will be built above water. There are a couple of others in the state but they are Indian owned.
Heres a link to the Des Moines casino. http://www.prairiemeadows.com/

Man better start checking the bible belt, thats your best bet in finding a state with no gambling at all.

Sure, Louisiana, and Mississippi has legalized gambling.
As a matter of fact I won $1,200.00 last week playing poker.
