PessimisticPug 02-08-2005, 01:09 PM The baddest shot that I ever saw live was when Stanley Longstreet busted Gary Smith in the jaw, dropping him and breaking his jaw. Gary and I were working out of the same gym at the time. He was a good little south paw. When I was told about the match up the manager of our gym said it was not a good one for Gary, but his trainer Greg said that Gary could out smart him and out box him. By the way, at the time Greg was training an amateur named james Toney aswell. Any way, the shot that Longstreet landed echoed through Cobo Hall in the most sickening way. Gary would show up to the gym a week or so later with his jaw wired shut. He would continue to fight but was never again quite the same. And through the grapevine I had heard that Longstreet was messing with somebodies girl and ended up getting busted up really bad over it. The guy was a really sharp fighter but was never really the same after that either......Rockin'
Slipx 02-08-2005, 01:22 PM good post rockin, someone move his post to my first thread and delete this thread, so others can read it.(its a shame for a good post like this to be in a duplicate thread, id like others to read it)
DiegoFuego 02-08-2005, 01:28 PM Lewis on Rahman. I believe it has actually been named hardest punch ever thrown
mrrcool 07-12-2007, 01:18 AM george foreman uppercut on gerry cooney :boxing:
BROOKLYN CESAR 07-12-2007, 01:25 AM Id say that David Tua left hook is the hardest punch ever throwing!!! Ruiz felt the pain in 17 seconds of the 1st round!!! Lewis ran from it and Rahman cant get over it!!!
Bonafide 07-12-2007, 02:20 AM Hands down...Tyson on Botha
-Antonio- 07-12-2007, 02:41 AM Lewis' right hand against Rahman.
LOLORSKATES 07-12-2007, 03:04 AM I swore the hardest punch i've ever seen was the one thrown in that friday night fights showing about a week ago.

Hands down...Tyson on Botha
yeah that was one mean shot. it wasn't even fully extended and it killed botha lol. Also lewis's right hook on rahman when he ko'd rahman with it.
Knicksman20 07-12-2007, 09:38 AM For me it's several: Tyson's 80's KO of that one fighter with the funny afro. He had just dropped him & the guy got back up. Tyson through a single right hand that look like it nearly killed him.
Ike Ibeabuchi nearly decapitating Chris Byrd. The impact & sound of that punche were brutal. Byrd had no control over his body & was drooling.
either this one....

Wilson vs. Nwodo, ooohweeee
The Texican 07-12-2007, 08:25 PM That Tyson one that was mentioned earlier, I watched that thing in slow-mo many times. Also, I like the Hearns right hand that KO'd Duran for the first and only time of his career.
Randall_Hopkirk 07-12-2007, 09:21 PM Lewis KO of Rahman or Marciano's brutal KO of Walcott, the still picture of his contorted face at the point of contact is gruesome.
nosworthy 07-12-2007, 09:36 PM Freitas' punch that felled Barrios at the end of the 11th. He was still totally out of it after a minutes break O_O
Easy-E 07-12-2007, 09:42 PM Tyson's knockout of Michael "Jack" Johnson.
Sickening.
aljon 07-12-2007, 11:01 PM Samuel Peter on Jeremy Williams, brutal left hook...
And some of Tyson's KOs of course...
Addison 07-12-2007, 11:08 PM Not the but certainly a top 20..

.....Tommy boy on Razor Ruddock, Peter/Williams, Douglas/Tyson(Any final shot that leaves a guy crawling around on the canvas looking for his mouthpiece is special to me). The Hearns shot on Duran was a good one. Jones has gotten a couple of good ones in his downward slide too. Tarver and Johnson KO's were both brutal.

...That one lead to Ruiz hugging and fighting like a ***** for the rest of his career, and it lead to the endless torture of us boxing fans.
RaveloFan7 07-12-2007, 11:25 PM Ya'll Shoulda seen that right hand I landed on Kaynan, He was out cold before he hit the ground.
