LightsOut Le 05-19-2006, 03:10 AM body weight exercises...alot mroe simple then using weights..with weights you worry too much about "am i doing to much weight with less repitiotion??? or less wight more repittiions.." body weight exercises are more simple and flat out...do 100 pushups 50 pulls ups a day and your good CRESCENDOPOWER 05-19-2006, 05:11 AM Cross train, and do both. PunchDrunk 05-19-2006, 07:06 AM You can use all kinds of training to get more defined. The question is how much you train, and how many calories you eat. I'd like to point out that bodyweight exercises are a very big group of exercises that cover all ranges of training. From burpee's where you can do hundreds of reps, to pullups and pistols where reaching 20 is pretty impressive, to one arm pullups, one arm handstand pushups and other exercises, where getting ONE rep is amazing. The muscle doesn't care if it's a pushup or a dumbbell, if the resistance is the same. A good mix of weights, bodyweight and cardiovascular training is the best, of course. The Raging Bull 06-07-2006, 02:12 PM I like doing both, although i feel weights are more challenging. For some strange reason i also love cardio. jason100x 06-07-2006, 03:16 PM You can use all kinds of training to get more defined. You mix things up to get more out of your workout and not let your workouts get stagnant. Sometimes I use weights, but any time I work out I always do bodyweight exercises. Also, I find the medicine ball to be a great workout tool. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
