he should have followed what judah did and took a small pay day so that he could just beat a name fighter to get a bigger pay day.........more fighters should really do that if they really want to be known

I thought the main reason that fell thru was cause Hatton once again refused to come to the states to fight him. I have no problem believing that since Tszyu, the bigger name of the two, is going all the way to England to face Hatton. I still dont agree with that either..hopefully K.T. will knock him out cause I just dont see him winning a decision in Hattons backyard!

Harris vs Hatton didnt happen because Harris didnt think he should fight in the UK and the money wasnt enough. Then Harris had a bright idea and decided to fight in Germany for a fraction of Hatton purse. Harris is really clever

Kostya knows that's where the money is.

Tszyu vs. Hatton going to a decision? I doubt that will happen...

He fought and beat Urkal for the second time recently, he's still no closer to a big money showdown. :D

I really am going this time mate, speak to you 2mo

Harris has made some weird decisons with turning down the Hatton fight and turing down a HBO fight early this year. He needs to get his sh*t together and take the chances he has gotten because just waiting around for one big fight could get him shut out of the big money forever.

Exactly, Zoo is getting 5 million to face Hatton and it would most likely not be possible outside of England, check that there is no ****ing way it would be possible. Who else could Zoo fight and get 5 million...no one except Oscar. Great move by Team KT!

I think Tszyu made the smart move. I also don't believe that he'd win a decision in Hattons backyard. If it goes to the cards I think Hatton would probably win...somewhat by his own merit.

Heres to Cotto HArris after the chop fight.

Exactly! I'd be really surprised if it even made it to the cards though..hopefully Tszyu will take care of business and not let the judges get involved at all. :)

Is everyone forgetting that Harris let the fight with Hatton go to purse bid because he thought the money wasn't right for whatever reason. When he did that Hatton was the one that pulled out of the fight & withdrew his #1 ranking position to Harris "title".

Can you blame Hatton? Hatton would be generating nearly 100% of the revenue and only getting a 25% cut, thats bull****.

IMO Harris *****ed out of the fight, its a shame because he's a good fighter.

It is a shame cause it would have made for a good fight! They can make it up to us with Tszyu-Hatton instead I guess

Looking back he shoulda, but he didn't.

I agree with your stance, but at the same time a fighter has to look out for himself in this sport and if he feels he's being done wrong then he should have the right to pull out.

I'd rather have seen Hatton fight Harris first, i think thats a win for Hatton and a very good warm up for the Tszyu fight.

The level of opponents Hatton been fighting would have made him ready for Harris, but for a great fighter like Tszyu  who knows if its good enough?? I hope so.

Hatton is already rich from fighting at home for so long. He should've taken the pay cut like Holyfield did against Tyson, & Zab against Spinks if he was confident he could be him. Isn't having a piece of the jr. welter crown & finally beating a top 5 guy in the division worth more? That goes to show that Hatton wanted to cash in big time if he was gonna take a chance in losing. He felt the risk against Harris far outweighed the benefit. If he would've beaten Harris, (which I highly doubt) that would've generated more interest & possibly a PPV showdown with KT meaning more money for both parties.

I dont think the WBA belt would mean too much(belts only as good as champion), its not like Harris beat anyone of note to get it, he's just holding it for Tszyu.

I dont think Harris has done anything more than Hatton in his career(maybe even less), he has no fans, nobody wants to see him fight so it would be an insult to take the short money against him.

Looking at it from the other side, if Harris had taken the biggest payday of his career and beat Hatton he could have set up a showdown with Tszyu/Cotto.

Harris needed Hatton a lot more than Hatton needed Harris. Its a shame because i really wanted to see the fight, hopefuly they will fight in the future.

Beating Harris would've proved to U.S. fans & boxing critics outside of Europe that Hatton is a top fighter in the division which is something he has yet to prove.
