View Full Version : Brady TKOs McNabb in 4!!!!!
jack_the_rippuh 02-06-2005, 10:46 PM What a game. T.O. is a legend, I don't care what anyone says.
Brady stopped McNabb in the 4th with a vicious kneel down what forced the ref to wave the contest off..
itsbusdriver 02-06-2005, 11:01 PM damn.. they didnt beat the spread!
jack_the_rippuh 02-06-2005, 11:04 PM damn.. they didnt beat the spread!
Three is the magic #...
If I was coach for Philadelphia there are some things I would have done different on those last two offensive drives..
itsbusdriver 02-06-2005, 11:11 PM that last touchdown drive by Philly took too damn long..
jack_the_rippuh 02-06-2005, 11:15 PM that last touchdown drive by Philly took too damn long..
I agree...another thing I think they went wrong with was depending on the onside kick. If they would have kicked it deep with two time-outs in the game, I'm more than confident that they would have been able to force the Patriots into a three and out and receive a punt a little bit behind mid-field. Well in the end of the day that's how the cookie crumbles...By the way, I was pulling for Philly.
DiegoFuego 02-06-2005, 11:17 PM 3 out of the last 4 superbowls? UNREAL!!!!!!!!

it's been done before.
+= El Jefe=+ 02-07-2005, 12:18 AM How are the Pats able to
be that good wiht all the free agency
****,
Their coach is the man
loangunZ 02-07-2005, 12:27 AM TO was quite amazing I mean he truely does what he says he is gonna do, I think the most horrible call was mitchell catching that ball with a min left which ended up running down the clock and rushing mcnabb.
McNabb plain and simply froze up. I think the magnitude of the event deflated him and some of his teammates, I mean they just looked worn down..... So many poor passes throughout the game unexcusable. T.O. what a game he had, geez I wonder if he was 100%, scary!
oldgringo 02-07-2005, 12:34 AM By the way I was perfect in my Superbowl prediction.
xrhythmxnxbluesx 02-07-2005, 12:44 AM i wanted philly to win... mcnabb choked... but damn T.O. i dun care what y'all say bout him... he is that damn good...
m00ks 02-07-2005, 01:00 AM still don't know why they took a chance on that onside kick. I mean all they needed to do was run up to field goal range in 55 seconds. Poor call imo.
AIR_KENG 02-07-2005, 01:35 AM mcnabb blew for the eagles, 3 INTs, damn! and you said you can win without T.O. On the other hand, T.O. was phenomenal...
SonnyG8R 02-07-2005, 01:50 AM McNabb had a better game than Brady. It was the pats defense and horrible clock management that beat the Eagles. I have to give T.O. credit. he stepped up big in this game.
As for how the Pats could win 3 in 4 years, they are a very good team...but, The Pats got a huge gift against the Raiders in 2001-02, when Brady clearly fumbled.
Then last year there was a horrible non call (pass interference) on third down when the Colts were driving late. It wasn't as agregious as the Raiders game, but it was enough for the nfl to change the rule this year to make sure contact with wr's past 5 yards is called.
New England isn't called the "Patsterisks" for nothing :D Nice to see them finally win a Super Bowl without the aid of the refs.
Torino 02-07-2005, 03:27 AM T.O. sure is a great reciever, But I don't know why everyone kisses his ass. He wasn't even the best reciever in the game.
Deion Branch ....... 11 receptions 133 Yards ..........
21 Career Superbowl Receptions and a SB MVP. 3rd in receptions in superbowl history and he's only 24.
TO is a great reciever but he just gets a lot of extra attention because of his selfish, Randy Moss like, antics.

as i have seen it, T.O. did not have that "Randy Moss"-like antic in the game... and it is not ass-kissing dude, it's just giving credit to where it is due... not being cleared and yet he played to help his team... that's heart dude...
julDilla 02-07-2005, 05:49 AM what a close game whew, i was nervous for a while GO PATS!

I'm sorry man, but McNabb did not have a better game than Brady. McNabb was terrible in my opinion, he had a lot of yards because the Eagles couldn't do **** on the ground. McNabb was inaccurate all game and made terrible decisions. To top it all off, with 5 minutes left down by 2 scores.....he's huddling like they have all the time in the world. Biottom line is, he can't hold Brady's jock strap when it comes to poise. Brady acted like this was a Thanksgiving Day game in his back yard. The kid is Captain Cool.

That was Westbrook.

Who would you rather have, Branch or Owens?
Kornhusker 02-07-2005, 09:31 AM Who would you rather have, Branch or Owens?
Owens went to Philly to win a superbowl, that didn't happen. All the sideline antics between him and McNabb will be a lot harder to sell as "pumping each other up" next year. I can see a Kobe/Shaq like relationship between these two in the very near future with the rest of the team having to suffer through it. Give me Branch any day.
+= El Jefe=+ 02-07-2005, 09:51 AM well Brady did good
but i give Bill B more credit,
he is just a ****ign Genius
McNabb gave tha game away with the INT's he trew
But i take my hat off to TO
he is a man
i loved how the Pats where moking TO's celebration

It's funny how he didn't throw many during the season, but he ended up throwing 'em when they really mattered.
enadeus 02-07-2005, 10:47 AM Under 47 and 1/2 was a gold mine.
Super_Lightweight 02-07-2005, 10:57 AM T.O. is good but he's not by any means a "legend" yet. It could happen though. It's not warranted yet, that's all.
Deion Branch had an awesome game and needs more attention.
McNabb's poor accuracy showed.
As far as the Radiers getting robbed a few years ago...it can easily be argued that you are wrong. It IS an official rule, this tuck rule, and people just never knew about it until it happened on a big stage. However, I would have to go back and look att he clip to see if it was actually a tuck. I think it's a dumb rule, but a rule is a rule.
Also, vs the Colts last year...the Colts weren't going to win anyways were they? Did you really think they were? Maybe, I suppose...
In any case, the Pats have to be given credit for pulling off what they have in this especially hard to keep a group together type of era.
They would not have beaten the Cowboys' dynasty, but even Aikman said what the Pats as a team did was more special because of the era in which they did it.
AintGottaClue 02-07-2005, 12:01 PM if they didnt on-side kick they could tied it
Torino 02-07-2005, 05:37 PM Who would you rather have, Branch or Owens?
Without Question ............ Deion Branch.
The Patriots are proof that you need more than raw talent to be a champion. Owens character issues are a negative influence on the concept of "TEAM". These character issues take away from his physical attributes and overall value to a team. Football is the greatest team sport.
The Fix 02-07-2005, 05:44 PM mcnabb needs to work on his accuracy. everytime i watch him he throws a couple of passes in the dirt. he does this far to often esspecially to wide open recievers. eagles can get all the recievers they want but what they really need is amore accurate mcnabb.im not saying get rid of him because he is really talented qb with good arm and moves well but he needs to look at some peyton manning tapes or even chad pennington tapes.both of those guys are pretty accurate. i have to give props to the patriot defence though, they played really well
The Fix 02-07-2005, 05:47 PM Who would you rather have, Branch or Owens?
id take owens. he put the team on his back yesterday on just one leg. 9 catches for 122 yards was amazing cosidering his injury. a healthy owens mmight have even done better and could have been enough for to put the eagles over the top
DiegoFuego 02-07-2005, 07:08 PM Deion Branch is my hero. The Patriots = greatest NFL team of all time. No contest. 3 out of the last 4 superbowls?! SAY WHAT!?!?!?!?!? Best ever.

best ever?
what the hell do you mean.
dude
the lombardy pats
the 49's
the Steeler's iron courtain,
and the Aikman Cowboys.
you must be insane to say the pats are better than all of them.
the pats rank up there,
maybe even wiht them,
but NEVER better.
DiegoFuego 02-07-2005, 07:51 PM I said it. The Patriots are the best team in NFL history. They have now won 3 out of the last 4 Superbowls. Nobody does that. They have the greatest coach in NFL history and they are without a doubt the elite. They stay disciplined and win everytime it counts. You cannot say anything negative about this team. The greatest of all time.

As i said the pats are not better,
they are in the same rank,
but come on you cant say they are better.
and bill belichick is an amazing coach
but the best ever??
Get at me when they name it the Belichick award and not the Lombardy.
DiegoFuego 02-07-2005, 08:27 PM Come on, stop being a Pat hater. They get zero media exposure, and they still win the Superbowl every year. If there's anything I can count on, it's that people will be whining about Bush and the Patriots will not lose in the postseason.

\
As i said they are up there wiht the best teams ever
but both you and know they are not the best ever,
if they get another SB in the next three years. they will.
but as of right now
they are only upthere not better or worse than the other teams.
And im not Hating
DiegoFuego 02-07-2005, 08:32 PM I disagree. They are the complete football team. They can beat you any way they want because they are coached by a man who is simply a genius on the football field. He's gotta be one of the smartest coaches ever. Look what he did to the posterboy Peyton's team this year! He held them to 3 points by playing the perfect game against them. Then look what he did to the Steelers! He is a genius.

Im agreeing wiht you
belichick is a great coach,
the pats are a dynasty
BUT...
You cant say they are better than the other dynasties.
and Lombardy is still a bigger genius.
and i loved what Belichick did to Manning

HAHA!!! The Eagles lose and all you can say is T.O. is a legend? Damn, you're a fool. Branch kicked his ass in terms of performance AND won the MVP. I think Owens is one of the top 5 receivers in the league, but a legend? If anything, he was stupid to risk permanent injury to play a game that most everyone knew the Eagles would lose. And they did. Lynn Swann would laugh at this post.

Owens will always get more credit than Branch because he is a loudmouth.. Ill take a guy like Deoin Breanch anyday of the week.. I like that kid. He is down to earth and doesnt seek attention.. Thats why he'll have more Super Bowl rings than T.O. ever will..
Deion Branch is right up there w/ T.O. in fact I'll take Branch 'cause he doesn't drop too many passes like Owens does.
