By Mayorga pulling this stunt at the last minute it could have negative repercussions in terms of securing future fights. He is going to be known as a fighter who does not play by the rules. When Mayorga signed the contract I'm sure he did it in the presence of his advisors (manager, lawyer, and promotor). They outlined the details of the contract and he agreed by signing the dotted line. He knew the amount of money he was going to get to fight De La Hoya. If he was in disagreement to the amount of money being offered for the fight he could have had his advisors go after more before signing. Mayorga is an ass, plain and simple.

How much money would he get if he fought someone other than DLH? I guaruntee you it would be alot less than $2,000,000. Mayorga's crying really took me by surprise. If he was confident in his ability to beat DLH, he would fight him for free, because winning this fight will launch him into more paydays.
