Who do you guys think will be the next dominate heavyweight champ. += El Jefe=+ 02-03-2005, 08:48 PM Samuel Peter you see how he dominated his last fight? he is the top heavyweight prospect right now straightjab65 02-03-2005, 08:51 PM What about Calvin Brock who knocked out a more talented fighter in less rounds. I mean Peter beat Diaz, and Brock beat clifford etienne and terry smith another up and coming fighter. trinidadpr87 02-03-2005, 08:54 PM Estrada is fast and has some pop but also has a long amateur career. To early to tell if he'll be a champion. QueenCity 02-03-2005, 08:58 PM Based on his last two fights you would almost have to say Peter, but the boxing banker Calvin Brock seems like the most complete fighter on that list.--I say one of those two, mabey both. straightjab65 02-03-2005, 08:59 PM I'm not taking away from samual peter he has tremendous power but i think that Brock is a better boxer who can also punch. They both need to step up and fight a top 10 heavyweight so we can really see what their about dansweeney 02-03-2005, 09:07 PM brock is slow and has ok power, etienne has no punch resistance at all, peter would kayo brock early and easily straightjab65 02-03-2005, 09:12 PM If your talking about slow then you might as well mention peter to. I dont think peter can hang with a good boxer. He beat Diaz but the ring was also the size of a telephone booth. Ever try to dance around in a telephone booth. I could be wrong about peter but I still have to go with Brock. += El Jefe=+ 02-03-2005, 09:15 PM If your talking about slow then you might as well mention peter to. I could be wrong about peter but I still have to go with Brock. He is slow but so are all of the ****ign heavyweights, remember the time the heavyweight figths where soo popular, now days they have lost their popularity, we are gonna need another Ali Or Tyson to bring live to the Heavyweights again. straightjab65 02-03-2005, 09:21 PM Thats a good point most heavyweights now a days are slow. I think that if all the champions meet up and unify the belts maybe the division will become more exciting. Hey maybe Ali will make a comeback.(hopefully not) AintGottaClue 02-03-2005, 09:23 PM these guys r gonna have to wait till vitali retires straightjab65 02-03-2005, 09:33 PM Lets be honest Vitali might be the best right now but he ranks about 145th all time so whatever. Plus i think a fighter like james toney can outbox and beat vitali. Please will a true heavyweight arise and dominate all these losers. Hey if laila Ali has mike tyson's baby we could have the next great heavyweight. reebox8225 02-03-2005, 09:52 PM I don't see none of those guys winning a meaningful belt, Peter will get exposed real soon, Mesi will never fight again, Brock isn't that good, same goes for Smith, Harrison is to old. Kimmy 02-03-2005, 10:03 PM I think Peter is already exposed. He has many traits like Tua actually. Slow of foot, quite short and stocky but what a chin and good power too! Klitscko would outbox him and some others too but i bet he`ll rack up a few wins along the way. I`d give him a chance against Ruiz or Brewster.. Slipx 02-03-2005, 10:28 PM I think Taz Titan has a good chance of becoming the new champion. He trains here in Atlantic City, I see him sometimes. a true workhorse... http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Media/TazTitan_BIG.jpg his handspeed rivals meldrick taylor's joeboxer 02-03-2005, 10:29 PM Toney for sure, he will beat the **** out Ruiz Neuraxis 02-04-2005, 12:04 AM There are all not that great. Don't expect any of them to hold a title for very long if at all. Neuraxis 02-04-2005, 12:08 AM I think Peter is already exposed. He has many traits like Tua actually. How do you know he doesn't? MikeHunt 02-04-2005, 01:26 AM It's not going to be any of these bozo's........... bonafuwa 02-04-2005, 02:21 AM I think Taz Titan has a good chance of becoming the new champion. He trains here in Atlantic City, I see him sometimes. a true workhorse... http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Media/TazTitan_BIG.jpg his handspeed rivals meldrick taylor's A heavyweight's handspeed rivaling Meldrick Taylor's? Yeah right! Neuraxis 02-04-2005, 02:27 AM How do you know he doesn't? Due to the fact that he hasn't been hit by a hard hitter yet that I've seen the question on whether he has a chin or not is still up in the air. tri4ben2 02-04-2005, 08:31 AM I think all of the fighters you mentioned have a good shot at one day getting a belt. If the real question is which one of the fighters has the best chance of beating Vitaly.... I would say that Peter has the punchers chance, but none of those fighters are going to outwork VK over 12 rounds enough to win the decision. The Phantom Menace 02-04-2005, 09:09 AM Samuel Peter jack_the_rippuh 02-04-2005, 09:11 AM Fantasy fight Question Ibeabuchi vs. Peter prime for prime? += El Jefe=+ 02-04-2005, 09:12 AM Samuel Peter As i Said Peter is gonna be the champ but not righ now he need more experience. yet Him alone cannot revive the Heavyweight division.... AintGottaClue 02-04-2005, 12:26 PM I think Taz Titan has a good chance of becoming the new champion. He trains here in Atlantic City, I see him sometimes. a true workhorse... http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Media/TazTitan_BIG.jpg his handspeed rivals meldrick taylor's you've seen taz titan to eh slip what handspeed for that big of guy @_@ if he gots a chin yes he could be champ Slipx 02-04-2005, 12:56 PM A heavyweight's handspeed rivaling Meldrick Taylor's? Yeah right! I know, it sounds ridiculous. He's not even in shape, either. He's like a tall, wiry, flabby ****er. roflmao. His tits shake around when he punches. he's not fat though. it looks like he used to be 400 lbs and had Liposuction ,and has to deal with extra skin now or something. He is balding at a very young age, also..maybe he did roids but I doubt it, his body looks nothing like that of a steroid users...Looks like he punched a bag and that's it, nothing else Look around for his pro debut, it should be on the net somewhere. He fought a guy named Dan Whetzel last june or july just a side note, Whetzel is fighting tonight on Shobox Slipx 02-04-2005, 01:00 PM you've seen taz titan to eh slip what handspeed for that big of guy @_@ if he gots a chin yes he could be champ yeah you saw his debut also I assume. I was in awe when he started throwing those shots... he's a smart fighter too though, I noticed he didn't just come out like Tyson, he pawed with his jab until he could identify Whetzel's weaknesses..when he saw that Whetzel was in a league below him, he punked him very quickly but yeah you are right if he has a bad chin, even if he is champ, he won't have many successful defenses. but that handspeed is really a freak of nature. like bruce lee type ****. Edited: His muscle build reminds me of an old fat housecat..Sure it looks out of shape, but when he decides to attack or move, it's lightning quick GranTorino 02-04-2005, 01:00 PM It should come as no surprise to anyone (at least it wont to me) that Wladimir Klitschko will be your next heavyweight champ. Unless Golota puts down Brewster before Wlad fights again. Either way, its gonna be one of those two. GranTorino 02-04-2005, 01:04 PM Lets be honest Vitali might be the best right now but he ranks about 145th all time so whatever. Plus i think a fighter like james toney can outbox and beat vitali. Please will a true heavyweight arise and dominate all these losers. Hey if laila Ali has mike tyson's baby we could have the next great heavyweight. James has skill, there's no question of that. But he's all used up. You cant have almost eighty fights and not be worn out. That aside, Toney also lacks the height or power needed to beat Vitali. In the end, Vitali's jab would do its work and James would succumb to it in about round nine or so. Unless Golota puts down Brewster before Wlad fights again. Either way, its gonna be one of those two. even if Wlad becomes champion, how many successful defenses do you think he will have? 2? 3? 4? The guy is a damn good fighter, good boxer, and a good puncher! But his chin, man! His chin! Any prime #1 contender that fights in a stalker/slugger style would make short work of Wlad, and if not that at least have a good chance of KO'ing him there are ways to improve your chin supposedly, by doing neck excercises, but I think it's bull****. I look at Naz's neck and see the neck of a boy, and he can take the best shots and come back up swinging like it was a jab. There are many theories, but the one backing this claims that brain deceleration is what causes the loss of consciousness. and by strengthining the neck, you decrease how much your head snaps back. You're right about that. Naz has one hell of a chin, man. DiegoFuego 02-04-2005, 04:12 PM Without a chin, you can beat Byrd, but that's about it in the heavyweight division |
