Soon the idea of african american blacks dominating pro boxing will fade and it will be domianted by east europeons... :) .... boxing is popular in those dark /cold/ former communist countries and they back their favorites so soon, they will take over boxng in the USA. It started with Golota and now it is kiltscko and soon more.. :) :D ......... Where's Muhmmad Ali/Larry holmes when you need them?

Im sure hes probley Eastern European himself, dont be soon to jump to conclusions. Besides Who was rooting for Tommy Morrison (American) vs. Lennox Lewis (British)?

Not African Americans, no one... Why? Most likely because of his skin color, all of this was before his controvercy with Aids. I cant think of another reason why Americans would root for the Brit.

There are racist pricks on every side...

PS. GOLOATA!!!! HAHAHA he is a joke.

It really doesn't matter where a fighter comes from as long as he can perform well...it is all about great fighters fighting great fights.

For African American heavyweights, it may have to do something with the best big athletes are in the NFL. Boxing doesn't protect their clients like the NFL does, thus making it about "security" for the athlete.

I doubt it will happen that fast, maybe in 10-20 years it will be more even. Asian + European fighters are already doing good. Pacquiao, Calzhage and Vitali+Wlad are probably the most known out of the bunch right now.

The thing about the weight classes is it is rare to see a European that is below 5'7, same with the Africans. They dont tend to have many competitors in lower divisions for genetic reasons.

And when you have like 20 divisions between the weight of 105 - 140 you will of course have less European / African champions. Of course I was eing sarcastic about the 20, the actual number is 10.

So no Europeans will never dominate Boxing.

American pride is great; but it's more important that we have a dominant champion. The heavyweight division has been murkier than a Scottish bog for two years now and, personally, I'm sick of it. Wlad looked dominant the other night. Granted, it was against a feather-fisted smallish man; but right now I would pick Klitshko over Rahman, Valuev, and Liakhovich. A dominant champion is more important than anything else. Americans have held the reigns in the heavyweight division for 120 years or so, with only a handful of exceptions...no need to be greedy. Good night, anything's better than John Ruiz! Let a strong and dominant man be king, I care not where his birthland is, as long as he's king.
