View Full Version : So Wladimir Klitschko is the future of heavyweight Division???
R.Winky Wright 04-23-2006, 01:48 PM As we all saw Saturday night It was a lop sided beating. On his past two recent outings Klitschko, (even though shaky against peter) He has been more solid and has a few things going for him, youth size, power, and Emanuel Stewart. Considering that the heavyweight division is …… talent less to put it lightly. Do you see anyone on the horizon to challenge Klitschko, or will he ride off into the sunset and unify the titles :puke:
Violent Demise 04-23-2006, 01:52 PM He's the best fighter in a very sad division. I can see him collecting all the titles.
elgaringo 04-23-2006, 02:14 PM He needs to prove he can overcome Brewster. Even though he lost in his last fight he was far from disgraced. Lewis did the same with Rahman and it helped his legacy!!! :boxing: :boxing:
DiegoFuego 04-23-2006, 02:16 PM I could see Liakhovich giving Wlad some problems because Liakhovich has an awesome chin. The winner of that fight would probably unify the division.

Emmanuel Steward, not Stewart.
And yes, after last night, it seems as though Wlad is the next big thing at heavy but he is definitly not invincible.
It's all a matter of confidence man.
The Wlad who was falling down and looked like he was going to die against Brewster....was showing heart but not confidence.
The Wlad that was falling down against peter was showing heart and confidence. He got up, and finished the fight strong with the will to win.
That confidence carried over into the Byrd fight. He walked to the ring in a hurry, no bull****, and was focused. He knew he needed to knock Byrd out and not give him any chances.
This is a confident statement right here:
"Before I prove my chin, I'm going to try and knock my opponent out"
Wlad means business from here on out, you can take that to the bank. Even if he gets cracked again....I think he'll survive because Steward has been molding him into the fighter he believed he was, and everyone knew he was.
MR. V 04-23-2006, 02:26 PM what needs to happend is the brothers need to step up and fite each other. think about the pay out for both of them and the hype & fulfillment it would be for fans. everybody woould be happy with this fite. i think this fite should take place even though they've publicly declared they would never fite each other. come on *******, knock each other out. :boxing: :boxing: :boxing:

I don't want to see Wlad make Vitali look silly with the jab untill he cant even see anymore.
Plus that fight has no marketability. Well maybe it does, but nobody wants to see two brothers taking it easy on eachother.

thats what im saying though, a real fite. them not taking it easy on each other. :D

That would never happen because they love eachother dearly.
tracylee 04-23-2006, 02:37 PM If beating up the young & inexperienced and blown up middle wts. makes him the future of the hv. wt's. then yeah, guess he is at that. If I were him, I'd be embarrassed to 'celebrate' beating up a guy half his size; that fight was a joke is every way possible.

Yes a real fight indeed!!! If this ever happened, which I don't believe it ever will, and they fought like we want them to. Vitali can and would reach his chin. Then he would smash it into a thousand peices. Wlad might have the better boxing skills, but Vitali has the better chin and hits just as hard. This would decide matters!!! :boxing: :boxing:

lyk doesnt have an awesome chin. he was knocked out by mo harris and nearly stopped by brewster. Id say his chin is descent,,,not great

Klitschko had 27.5lbs on Byrd... Thats hardly half his size. Byrd isn't a blown up middleweight in any sense, people are saying that because they dont like a "nonAmerican" (white man) holding the HW title, what happened to let the better man win? Byrd fought a total of 3 cruiserweight fights, his first three bouts, and all three of the guys had records of 0-10-0, 12-38-2, 10-38-2. He was hardly a cruiserweight champion with such pitiful competition. Byrd is obviously at his peak at that weight, just as Toney weighs almost the same as Klitscko but is 8inches shorter. Every boxer has their peak weight, Byrd found his.

The youngest man Klitschko has boxed is Samuel Peter, he was 25 at the time they boxed, thats at his prime. Its also only a 5 year age difference. Your arguement has some serious flaws.
On a side note, im not a big Klitschko fan but he is the best the division has.

you cant have a serious boxing match if your close family like brothers. I sure as hell cant imagine myself trying to hurt my younger bro. just doesnt work

a guy with an awesome chin doesnt get koed by maurice harris.
byt agree liakovich-wlad would be a good unification fight

I'm not sure it matters what the cultural background of a person is as long as they are quality. I love watching Felix Sturm fight and i'm not from european decent. I like going to watch a great fight and i don't care what culture they belong too, we're all human in my opinion.

Hmmmmm nationality has nothing to do with anything, so why try and make an issue of it? I could care less where the fighters are from, or what 'nation' is ruling what. It makes no sense to claim thats what my post was about, when it says nothing about it in any way.

Your insinuations are totally offbase; I've never been impressed with him and it's never been about where he's from. No need to try and make it about that, that was my point.
