View Full Version : Gatti vs Bojado
bigdlb12 02-02-2005, 10:05 AM Bojado looked to be a future star in the boxing ring, but after a few losses on his record now, is he done or can a good trainer fix him? Who would you put your money on him vs Gatti?
My money is on Gatti, of course
Arrington 02-02-2005, 10:29 AM Bojado can still be a star but he needs a top 10 victory before he could face Gatti.
Slipx 02-02-2005, 10:33 AM it's not a crime to smile..bojado needs to smile every once in a while. guy always has a mean smirk on his face.
bigdlb12 02-02-2005, 10:46 AM http://www.ufc*********.com/juarez-diaz-bojado/images/bojado-rubio140.jpg Payback from his 1st loss, will he do the same vs Leija?
jreng1 02-02-2005, 11:24 AM Gatti. Was never that big on Bojado
Marjoh 02-02-2005, 11:39 AM Leija beat Bojado. Gatti beat Leija. I know that don't mean anything a lot of the times, but I think that's the case here. So I put my money on Gatti.
But I'm not counting Bojado out, though. He's only 21 years old and still has a lot to learn. How about a Juan Diaz-Francisco Bojado bout at 135-140?
oldgringo 02-02-2005, 12:21 PM Bojado would be better if he went back to the style he had in his earlier bouts. Maybe its not his style but he used to be a much more offensive minded fighter and could really throw some beautiful, accurate combinations. I think he's technically better than Gatti but he'd find himself in trouble if they fought now. I'd put smart money on Gatti and chance money on Bojado.
dafrza3 02-02-2005, 12:25 PM Right now Gatti by TKO.
If Bojado ever realizes/d his potential i would have a different pick.
Bojado was as overhyped a prospect as I have ever seen....he kept knocking guys out on shobox with horrible records...and when I say knocking them out, he was hitting them with glancing blows and arm shots and they were quitting.
So everyone talked about how unbelievable power this kid had...he never had great power that was a myth! He has decent skills but still no power and both of his losses have come when he was not in shape so he can fix some things.
Had he of fought Gatti I guarantee it would have been a much better fight than we saw with Leija on Saturday. Bojado would have been in super shape and given Gatti trouble for the first few rounds...you still have to pick Gatti but Bojado would have given Gatti a good run or at least a much better go of it than LEija did.
dafrza3 02-02-2005, 01:00 PM Yeah i agree it seemed like Lieja wanted to cash his check and go home to his pretty wife.
bigdlb12 02-02-2005, 01:03 PM Bojado KD leija a few times in the second round, it took gatti till round 5, could Bojado KD gatti or Visa versa?
bigdlb12 02-02-2005, 01:04 PM Leija beat Bojado. Gatti beat Leija. I know that don't mean anything a lot of the times, but I think that's the case here. So I put my money on Gatti.
But I'm not counting Bojado out, though. He's only 21 years old and still has a lot to learn. How about a Juan Diaz-Francisco Bojado bout at 135-140?I can see diaz winning a 12 round fight on easy street
adeelr 02-02-2005, 02:02 PM Gatti kayos Bojado, bojado was good, not anymore now he will always be an average fighter, he will win a few fights make a little money and retire.

Nah I think the kid's still got a good future. Fighters need losses to learn and be motivated at times. Gatti still knocks him out.
mauricio95 02-02-2005, 03:31 PM bojado is gonna start training with brand new adquired ronny shields I believe still he can make a great comeback :)

Bojado was supposed to fight Gatti after Bojado fought Leija, but we all know how that one went for him.
Truth 02-02-2005, 04:30 PM Bojado can still be a star but he needs a top 10 victory before he could face Gatti.
I wouldn't say Bajado is done either mainly because he is still very young.
.::|ULTIMATE|::. 02-02-2005, 05:11 PM Bojado has lots of talent but he doesnt have the killer instinct and thats costing him the fights. He had the fight against Leija in the bag but he didnt know what he had in front of him.
It's gonna take some determination on his part.
chingon28 02-02-2005, 05:18 PM doesnt matter who trains him. he needs to listen to his corner. in the leija fight mcgirt was giving him advice and he seemed to ignore it. kid has talent but sometimes looks like he is not intersted.
