Which fight was the bigger upset, and which performance was more impressive?

Benn was expected to be KO'd by the G-Man, and almost did, but somhow survived and came back to win by TKO. How the **** dint he get knocked out??

Calzaghe was thought to be over the hill and would get KO'd by the Tyson of the Super middleweight division. He dominanted Lacy, but was Lacy overrated??

For unmitigated violence characterizing a fight that was supposed to end early in favor of the eventual loser, I pick Benn-GMan; for a surprising turn of events, i.e., a fighter who was not given a fair chance by most pre-fight pundits, showing dominance during the fight itself, I pick Cal-Lacy.

Like I've stated.

Calzaghe's victory over Lacy was the single most impressive victory I've ever witnessed in boxing. Given all the circumstances.

Allan Green beats Lacy and Calzaghe

I hope so. He's my number one prospect man.

Benn's victory was better. Why? He beat the top fighter in his division. He took punishment against a brutal puncher like Mcclellan. Showed his heart, battled back and won. Calzaghe win was a good one. But he beat a fighter who was not quite the monster he was made out to be. Calzaghe didn't show his heart, because he never had too. The win was that easy for him.

Calzaghe was the closest to perfect that Ive ever seen a boxer. He was flawless that night.

Benn/McClellan was a much bigger fight between better fights, with Benn having been knocked out by a JAB in the past and rocked in almost every fight expected to be knocked clean out against McClellan after telling everybody that he was going to right at McClellan from the opening bell (and try to knock McClellan out as quickly as possibly). But what made the fight so exciting was that we knew Nigel Benn, claiming he was going to bring back the old Dark Destroyer from the 80's, could punch as hard as anybody and was in there with a punchers chance early on (although nobody expected McClellan to have such a ridiculously good chin, too good for his own good :( )

But Calzaghe's performance was sheer dominance ;) although having said that, I wouldn't give Calzaghe much chance against McClellan and Lacy much chance against Benn.

They are similar circumstances, because Benn was coming off his career-worst performance (against Giminez) and Calzaghe also had a career-worst performance (against Salem) not long before the Lacy fight. And there were these awesome punchers crossing the Atlantic, against seemingly 'fading' British champions who were now uncharactoristically going the distance in their fights.

Even more weird is that it was the fourth round when the crowd riots started in the Benn/Giminez fight, and lost Benn his concentration. And it was the fourth round when Calzaghe broke his hand against Ashira. Both incidents causing poor performances before the big fights, making Benn and Calzaghe underdogs.

U really think Calzaghe wouldnt stand a chance againt McClellan?
