He's done! jack_the_rippuh 01-31-2005, 05:08 PM Mike Tyson said he's going to get his act together and clean out the division.. dansweeney 01-31-2005, 05:11 PM ... will he Hell! How many deluded Tyson nut huggers sprayed in their pants just reading that title? He's done! pretty funny coming from a guy who bet his house on a bum like howard eastman upsetting the greatest middleweight since hagler Warrior Spirit 01-31-2005, 05:15 PM I'm a fan of Tyson and I hope that he can be champion again and I'll be rooting for him but I really don't see it happening. His career as a legit prize fighter is fading and is probably over. :( I have his career on DVD and man, this guy was one bad mother****er when he was champion. On the night he won the title from Berbick, I doubt any heavyweight ever could have beaten him that night. jack_the_rippuh 01-31-2005, 05:18 PM You guys, what you're failing to realize is that Mike Tyson said he's going to get his act together and clean out the division. He also has Buddy McGirt in his corner...Now I know McGirt is no Mayweather Sr. but I really give this guy a chance.. Warrior Spirit 01-31-2005, 05:23 PM You guys, what you're failing to realize is that Mike Tyson said he's going to get his act together and clean out the division. He also has Buddy McGirt in his corner...Now I know McGirt is no Mayweather Sr. but I really give this guy a chance.. I hope he backs up his claims but Mike has said alot of things.I do like the combo of him and Mcgirt though. Anorak 01-31-2005, 05:30 PM What competition has Bernard "Yawn" Hopkins had? Clean out the division - the only thing Tyson will clean out is his ass down the old folk's home. Jack, you're a dude, but you need some sense on this matter. Eyeh8you 01-31-2005, 05:32 PM I actualy think he's still a kid. He told me he was 5'8'' and 116lbs or something like that. Sounds like a youngin to me :p paulmmv 01-31-2005, 05:33 PM as much as i like tyson i think hes done and will never be on top again += El Jefe=+ 01-31-2005, 05:34 PM Tyson a champ again??? yeah ****ing right, he was great at his time but now he is a joke. He is not even close to it. but dont tell him i said this He might eat my children. warped 01-31-2005, 05:48 PM as much as i like tyson i think hes done and will never be on top again Sad, but true. Johnny_Rocket 01-31-2005, 07:07 PM Tyson will never hold another belt again but I hope he comes back long enough to string together some semi-respectable wins. He will retire soon so hopefully he can go out on a good note. jedihillis 01-31-2005, 07:14 PM It'd be kinda cool to see Tyson get one last title shot. I'm really curious to see what this new trainer will do for him. I mean, Tyson is old, but so is B-Hop. So, anything's possible. m00ks 01-31-2005, 07:39 PM You guys, what you're failing to realize is that Mike Tyson said he's going to get his act together and clean out the division. He also has Buddy McGirt in his corner...Now I know McGirt is no Mayweather Sr. but I really give this guy a chance.. Mayweather is rambling idiot. This was his advice to Oscar during his match against Tito "Looka here man, its easy. You go in there then you do them combinations see. Prrrrrrrrrrrrt then out then Prrrrrrrrrrt again. That's what you do..." I was like  jedihillis 01-31-2005, 08:05 PM "Looka here man, its easy. You go in there then you do them combinations see. Prrrrrrrrrrrrt then out then Prrrrrrrrrrt again. He also has Buddy McGirt in his corner...Now I know McGirt is no Mayweather Sr. but I really give this guy a chance.. See jack_the_rippuh is like me he wants and believes that if Tyson gets his head right he could suceed once again. props to rippuh  ShotgunSeanK 01-31-2005, 09:49 PM Tyson has already reached his peak. The more he ages, the less chance there is that he'll win a title. His days are probably numbered. But I live in hope... jack_the_rippuh 02-01-2005, 12:09 PM Mayweather is rambling idiot. KJ 02-01-2005, 01:27 PM Mayweather is rambling idiot. This was his advice to Oscar during his match against Tito "Looka here man, its easy. You go in there then you do them combinations see. Prrrrrrrrrrrrt then out then Prrrrrrrrrrt again. That's what you do..." I was like  Prrrrrrrrrrrrt?!?! :D :D Floydmayweather 02-01-2005, 01:41 PM It really would not be out of the question. Hell Danny Williams got a title shot. If Tyson could beat a few guys maybe one belt holder he could get a shot at Vitali. If he was focused and determined he has a little chance. Vitali would probably pound his face in but Mike could land the one big shot and well there you go. jabsRstiff 02-01-2005, 03:07 PM Mayweather is rambling idiot. I believe the first fight that Oscar had Floyd Sr. in his corner was the Gatti fight. jack_the_rippuh 02-01-2005, 03:24 PM Mayweather turned Oscar two-handed.. jabsRstiff 02-01-2005, 03:27 PM Mayweather turned Oscar two-handed.. & made him a worse fighter in the process. Oscar was better when he went heavy with his left. He's never been cut out to be a slickster. jack_the_rippuh 02-01-2005, 03:33 PM & made him a worse fighter in the process. Oscar was better when he went heavy with his left. He's never been cut out to be a slickster. So what fights do you think would have had a different outcome if Floyd Mayweather Sr. wasn't in his corner and he fought how he use to fight? jabsRstiff 02-01-2005, 03:45 PM So what fights do you think would have had a different outcome if Floyd Mayweather Sr. wasn't in his corner and he fought how he use to fight? He'd have knocked his foes out earlier. He'd lose to Hopkins no matter what. Even though Oscar appeared to win the second Mosley fight....he was a better fighter the FIRST time he fought Shane. They both kinda sucked in that second fight. jack_the_rippuh 02-01-2005, 03:47 PM He'd have knocked his foes out earlier. He'd lose to Hopkins no matter what. What good would knocking out his foes earlier do? jedihillis 02-01-2005, 03:49 PM Vitali would probably pound his face in but Mike could land the one big shot and well there you go. Yeah. Unfortunatly, it's this mentality of trying to land one big shot that has screwd Mike's career over. jabsRstiff 02-01-2005, 03:52 PM What good would knocking out his foes earlier do? Be more impressive.....& save some mileage on his body. No matter what you fake-ass purists TRY to believe....KOing your foe is the most impressive & beneficial way to win. Winning CONCLUSIVELY separates fighters from the rest of the pack. m00ks 02-01-2005, 06:09 PM Do you mean when Oscar fought Hopkins ? Mayweather was not training Oscar at the time he fought Trinidad. I believe the first fight that Oscar had Floyd Sr. in his corner was the Gatti fight. Yah sorry I meant Hopkins. Anyweyz, even with the match with Sturm you can see his idiocy. He was hesitating (and I dont mean his stuttering) and just kept telling Oscar to "take a round off". DLH dont even listen to him. Mayweather kept talking nonsense while Oscar was talking to some of the other cornermen. Mayweather: "Take a deep breath" Oscar: "Wha?" (like...wtf you saying again) Mayweather: "Deep breath." Oscar: "Oh. Yah. Right." (then he resumes talking with some one else). The Fix 02-01-2005, 07:29 PM i dont think it will happen but it isnt that farfetched either. tyson has still got that power and if wlad can get a shot after beating tos why couldnt tyson get a shot for beating some 25-30 ranked guy. if tyson wanted to get a shot he could get one easy because like it or not he is still the biggest draw in the sport and he will get paydays these current heavys couldnt get on their own. tyson's power is key because if he lands his shot its over for damn near everyone. trinidadpr87 02-01-2005, 07:32 PM If all you need is power i guess george foreman will be champion soon. The Fix 02-01-2005, 07:34 PM If all you need is power i guess george foreman will be champion soon. hey it helped when he was 45 and took the title. tyson is what 38? i dont think it will happen but its not that farfectched either dodge 02-01-2005, 07:43 PM Tyson doesn't pace himself. His punches get weaker and weaker every round. Tyson would have to try to knock out Klit in round 1. I do not see this happening. The Fix 02-01-2005, 07:57 PM Tyson doesn't pace himself. His punches get weaker and weaker every round. Tyson would have to try to knock out Klit in round 1. I do not see this happening. but there is a chance(although slim) that could happen. all iam sayin is that he has a slim chance KJ 02-02-2005, 04:33 AM There ARE titles for the taking atm, it all depends on Tyson (and this is the weak part of the plan). joeboxer 02-02-2005, 04:37 AM You guys are crazy. Think about it like this. Michael Jordan was the best basketball player ever. His Prime and his championships came through the late ninty's. Just three or five years or so after that, people beg Michael not to come out of retirement. Boxing is a much more phsyically demanding sport than basketball, and Tyson's prime was a decade before Michael Jordans. KJ 02-02-2005, 04:43 AM You guys are crazy. Think about it like this. Because he might ENJOY himself playing Basketball? The Italian Stallion 02-02-2005, 07:19 PM Tyson, I want to see him clean up, he could do it if he trains extremly hard jack_the_rippuh 02-02-2005, 07:46 PM I agree with the whole thing on Tyson not pacing himself. He fights the whole fight as if he has the guy in trouble. Strictly power shots.. marvdave 02-02-2005, 08:33 PM hey it helped when he was 45 and took the title. tyson is what 38? i dont think it will happen but its not that farfectched either Foreman at his advanced age had the mental advantage over his opponents. Anything is possible with don king if he puts Tyson in with a stiff. Tyson has a punchers chance I guess. He is however a mental midget and I don't see it happening Mr. Violence 02-02-2005, 08:36 PM even though he probably wont...i wont bad mouthe mike he was one of my childhood heroes so i wish him the best of luck. |
