View Full Version : Floyd Mayweather - Future HOF?
Parody 04-13-2006, 05:13 PM Do you guys think Floyd Mayweather is a Future Hall of Famer?
I think he is...Pretty boy will retire undefeated with the top names on his resume
Definately, but he won't retire undefeated
JuicyJuice 04-13-2006, 05:15 PM I think he probably will be, actually.
Parody 04-13-2006, 05:15 PM Definately, but he won't retire undefeated
Who do you think will beat him?
Who do you think will beat him?
Ricky Hatton, but we have all had this debate many times before..
I can't say for sure he will retire undefeated(honestly). He already is a hall of famer if you ask me.
King Koyle 04-13-2006, 05:44 PM Most definetly! When it is all said and done I would not be
surprised if he is considered a top ten all time great!
UntouchableM2 04-13-2006, 05:51 PM yes....easily....

I think you might be right, as long as the same thing does'nt happen to him that happened to Trinidad, Mosley. They were at this stage in each of there careers. Then Forrest and Hopkins struck :boxing: :boxing:

He could retire today and be a hall of famer.
He could have lost to Judah and never fought again and still been a hall of famer.
The answer is yes.
F1GG13 04-13-2006, 06:40 PM yes he will go into the H O F no doubt
Easy-E 04-13-2006, 06:58 PM right now, based on the people hes beaten and that hes a 4 time champ, hes HOF right now...but yes, first ballot easy
wmute 04-13-2006, 07:38 PM did you guys ever read who's in the HOF?
pretty much anyone, floyd has had a foot in since his work at 130-135
Dirt E Gomez 04-13-2006, 07:43 PM Dumbest questions ever? You'd best believe it.
DiegoFuego 04-13-2006, 08:17 PM He will retire among the three greatest that ever did it

he will definately be in the hall of fame mainly because he has won 4 titles in 4 different weight classes, with atleast 1 or 2 more classes in my opinion to go.
I dont see him retiring undefeated though, sooner or later age will take it's toll like on any great fighter and if he's not smart it will catch him. I dont see any fighters now that will do anything to him but there will be in the next 3 or 4 years once the younger top prospects come up.
I hope to see him in atleast 3 fights a year all being top fighters.
He will definately be considered one of the best pound for pound fighters of all time and already is.
The Scientist 04-13-2006, 09:02 PM When he beats an opponent of Oscar De La Hoya and Shane Mosley's caliber, I believe the IBHOF will indict him for sure, no doubt. Only way I think he could remain undefeated, would be by retiring at a decent age, and while his skill are still sharp. Due to his mastery in boxing, Mayweather will continue to be good when age slows him down.
opethdrums 04-13-2006, 09:13 PM who would win gatti or hatton?
Azteca 04-14-2006, 12:16 AM i'd like to see him clean up 140 and 147, and then we'll talk about the hall of fame.
Azteca 04-14-2006, 12:18 AM if mcguigan made it to the hall of fame, then it's almost a crime if floyd mayweather jr. isn't inducted. the big problem is he hasn't beaten an established, dominant champion yet at any weight division.
a fantastic fighter but i think he's wasting his time a bit the past few years.
Islandboy3 04-14-2006, 12:20 AM If he fights and beats Margarito and Hatton that will solidify his greatness of all time.
IwatchBoxing 04-14-2006, 12:23 AM Sugar Ray Robinson
Sugar Ray Leonard
Roy Jones Jr
Floyd Mayweather
has the best skilled boxers ever
Azteca 04-14-2006, 12:24 AM margarito's a sitting duck at 147. in my opinion, mayweather would piss about with margarito and win a one-sided lopsided decision but then again it could go the other way and margarito's pressure could crack mayweather at the seams.
Islandboy3 04-14-2006, 12:27 AM PBF is going to the hall of fmae but not sure if his going to be undefeated, I only know two hall of fame champs that went unbeaten Marciano and Lopez. Anyone know any other great champ that went unbeaten?

BLOODSHED 04-14-2006, 12:37 AM I did it to mock such a stupid question (no offense Parody, we're cool :D ).
the 2 ppl that said he wasnt did even bother on giving there reason why
Islandboy3 04-14-2006, 12:43 AM The only fighter that ever posed a real threat to PBF was Catillo. Yes PBF has fought some great fighters but non in his class Gatti after all those wars, Coralles with a chin susceptible to the left hook we all saw what happened with that. I want to see him in with some on that could put some pressure on him Like body killer's Hatton and Cotto or an awkward fighter like Margarito.
juan esparza 04-14-2006, 01:25 AM who has he fought that really was a threat nobody evertime hes fought they are all washed up or nobodys zab anit **** he just lost to a big ass chup i think mayweather hit his peak from now on i want to see him fight the big boys no mitchel or chop chop s gay ass im not takeing nothing from mayweather but when people stat thinking hes pfp that pisses me off
