You can already see their courses forming. Mayweather is going to fight Margarito and De La Hoya while Hatton fights Collazo and the winner of the Gatti/Baldomir fight. People were talking about Gatti vs. Hatton for a long time, so you know they're gonna make that fight in the fall when Mayweather is most likely fighting De La Hoya. I truly believe Hatton vs. Mayweather is at least 2 fights away for both guys unfortunately.

I think the Hatton fight may never happen. Hatton doesn't want the fight now & I don't see PBF waiting for him, PBF will probably be a middleweight within 2 years.

Its been stated that they will meet in 2007, both want a few big money fights and then to retire. I doubt Mayweather will go to Middleweight, he was under 147 for his weight-in with Judah, I don't think he is big enough to move up and have any power advantage.

He said he wants to be a champion in 5 weight classes, so i can see him go to light middleweight..then maybe 2 years after that he might retire as middleweight. if he does and retires undefeated he will be #1 in my list alltime.

Well he still has to win a belt at 147, cause no one recognizes his fight against Judah as a title fight. He still hasn't beat the best at 140, Ricky Hatton. So he jumping around weight classes and is going to be remembered as a fool for that.

I think they're each 1 fight away from squaring off. Floyd is going to deal with Antonio and Hatton is going to beat the winner of the Baldy / Gatti fight most likely. And then they'd fight for the undisputed champ at jr. welter.

Why not? Everyone recognises it, its one of the main titles, its the IBF title. Well if u mean universally recognize he will just have to beat margarito, that makes him WBO and IBF champ

I'll put Mayweather #1 all-time if he wins a legit title at 154 and retires with no losses. Remember, De La Hoya only won 5 legitimate titles in the weight classes he fought in, but if Sturm continues to improve, then you can consider it 6. But De La Hoya had 4 losses along the way. Mayweather has never been close to losing a fight.

Because Baldomir beat Judah for the titles, and then he let go of some titles not to pay fees. So only on paper Judah was still champion, but that belt is miningless. Gatti also got his belt after Tszyu vacated it. Hatton is the best at 140, Mayweather jumped him over. Judah is not the best at 147, nowhere close to it. SO in theory Mayweather did not hold a meanigful belt at 140 and 147 so far.

Mayweather is not a legit champ at 147 til he beats a legit champion

PBF never come close to losing a fight??? What about the first Castillo fight..in most peoples books he actually lost that fight...
So what the hell are you on about..
Hatton has walked through everyone that he has come up against..including Tszyu..

Hatton even apologises if he wins a fight convincingly but his performance was not good enough...MAyweather has had some close fights in comparison..

PBF clearly won that fight, all 3 judges had PBF winning by 4 or 5 points. Also the AP had PBF winning the fight.

Please do not compare the Hatton resume to PBF. Because you gonna look like a fool.

To be honest, If Mayweather keeps moving up in weight i will have no respect for him...the biggest fight out there is Hatton. I know theres not alot of people who agree with this but Oscar is WAY past his prime!, Judah is past is prime...Gatti was past his Prime..Sharmba had walking sticks before his fight with Mayweather! I keep on stressin that Hatton and Mayweather is a must! After every fight Hatton has had recently he has been talking about Mayweather!...I think after Collazo is blown away...Hatton will be knocking on mayweathers door to fight him.

When has Floyd even shown interest in Margarito? What in the world would make you say that then?

Hatton's saying one thing and doing another. Because of this, he's giving the impression that he wants no part of Floyd.

I wish Hatton would stay in england and Floyd would man up.
I think they're each 1 fight away from squaring off. Floyd is going to deal with Antonio and Hatton is going to beat the winner of the Baldy / Gatti fight most likely. And then they'd fight for the undisputed champ at jr. welter.

PBF needs a fight with Hatton ..the public cant take anymore of these boring ass mayweather fights...He not well known outside the boxing world like tyson, Lewis, holyfield, Jones, Gatti, Ward...he needs some tough fights and not these set-up protection fights. He beat gatti But come on did anyone think Gatti is a great fighter he only great when he gets in these toe - toe fist fights. Mayweather isnt a Blue collar looking fighter and thats why he will never win over the public. Hatton will win in that category and be applauded for every punch he throws as mayweather will continue to hear the boo birds for along time to come until he gets some balls and pushs the Hatton fight. Hatton is in the drivers seat now and mayweather knows it. mayweather to push for this fight otherwisehe can never legitimately will be able to say he was p4p the best in his era...cause honestly hes not that exciting..If he allows Hatton to take some big fights Hatton will go a notch ahead of him and may never be able to fight him...Mayweather its yours for the taken step up and be a man and go get it if you can...mayweather gets beat in round 6 by a hatton body shot and than a upper cut to the head...KOD mayweather p4p the most over-rated fighter in the history of boxing....I know im roght and all you r wrong so plz post some myths and dreams people..

man it would be a great fight, unless Ricky's skin lets him down. If these two fought their would definetely be a rematch, If Floyd fights Hatton and doesnt lose he is not going to, the up and comers at welters arent going to get a fight with floyd.

BUddy, no offense but thats bull****. # 1 all time there have been plenty of better fighters that have come before Mayweather.

Delahoya also fought a who's who of opponents ---> he fought EVERYONE!! Mayweather fought 'everyone' at 130 and 135 but he didn't even clean it up or unify (didn't fight casamayor/freitas/mosley). He's made good career moves but never will he be #1 of all time. NEVER.

Forget Floyd-Hatton, the real fight is Cotto-Hatton...
