Translated by me, from *********.com in spanish

Promotor Bob Arum anounced last weekend that interim WBC champ Jorge El Travieso Arce will abandon his division to challenge WBA superflyweight champion , Martin "Gallito" Castillo July 29 on the same card where Floyd Mayweather will make another appearence against an opponent to be announced at the Thomas and Mack Center of Las Vegas. "If the boss already said it (Bob Arum) then ill be ready to fight Martin [Castillo]. I cant make 112 pounds anymore and ill be even stronger at 115 lbs where Castillo is the WBA champ and ill be looking for my third title in different weight classes," said Arce to Ramiro Gonzales of La Opinion.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who to go for, i guess i like arce more but damn. i wish he would stay down at flyweight and clean it out while castillo moves to bantam. he's got darchinyian then viloria he should beat up first.

I thought it was Margarito who was on that card for the 29th with an opponent to be announced? Either way, can you imagine floyd-Margarito and arce-castillo on the same card? Oh man. *drools*

a floydboy/margarito and arce/mcastillo is a worthy ppv. i'm still not convinced that a floyd/margarito will happen. i think judah exposed floyd of not being as good as some people think. at least in my eyes.

Nice matchup, also nice to see Arce at 115lbs he looked so sickly at the weightins for 111lbs.

arce is good for boxing. he already has 2 fights and a 3rd one signed. and the 10 p4p fighters have how many? just one or none at all.

Amen to all endorsements of the match and amen to all statements that it really looks like it's time for Arce to move up in weight.

While I would have loved an Arce- Villoria, the latter needs a few more fights to add to his chances and Arce's weight can't wait. That said, I still am not discounting the possibility that their meeting can come about: it can happen a few years from now at, possibly, Bantamweight, or there abouts.

Guess Vic Darchinyan will dominate the flyweight division now. Now that Arce's out of the picture I dont see anyone coming close to beating him.

Augie Sanchez also beat him in the amaures for an Olympic spot in their 1st fight, the second fight was really close but they gave it to Mayweather.

This is gonna be an awesome fight. Castillo is arguably the most technically proficient fighter from 112 to 115 lbs. He will definitely put Arce's toughness to the test and vice versa.

I would have rather seen Arce-Darchiniyan but this a good matchup as well.Castillo has the skills and boxing ability to beat Arce but since Munoz was able to drop Castillo I would have to favor Arce in this one.Munoz can punch but I think Arce hits harder which means he may be able to ko Castillo. At least these two fighters are willing to put it all on the line for the good of boxing.Plus I can still hope for a Marquez-Gonzalez matchup.
