View Full Version : Cintron vs. Estrada...should provide big league fireworks!
What a great fight!
A couple of young fighters already at a crossroads...is Cintron or Estrada ever gong to be a world champ?...the loser is probably ****ed!
The fight is a U pickem...who does everyone like?
I'll take my man David via late knockout.
ferocity 04-10-2006, 02:11 PM Im very surprised this fight is being made but Cintron has the style and power to beat Estrada, but I don't know if he still has the confidence.

Im surpised too that Cintron and his team are taking such a tough opponent on coming off of his defeat to Toney.
Super_Lightweight 04-10-2006, 02:30 PM Estrada has really come on at the hands of Dundee, so I think he will beat Cintron in a close fight.
Cintron could always score the KO but I feel Estrada's skills honed by Dundee are enough to see him through.

LOL, love your enthusiasm! But was David Estrada supposed to be good? I know Cintron was being groomed to take the welterweight throne from Judah or Margarito. That worked well.
DiegoFuego 04-10-2006, 02:38 PM Wow, didn't realize Estrada had only lost to Mosley and Ishe. Not too shabby.

When he fought Ishe he was sick as a dog and probably had no business in the ring that night.
The kid can fight!

Yeah good matchup,I think Estrada can take him, estradas a tough fighter.
mokele 04-10-2006, 03:30 PM The winner might get a shot at Mayweather so it's an important fight. Based on their records, I think that if he beats Estrada, Cintron would have a better shot at making a fight with Mayweather than Estrada would, who was outboxed by Mosley last year. If Estrada knocks out Cintron and looks good doing it, Mayweather might be talked into fighting him. We will see.
i think you gotta go w/ estrada in this fight, hes been in ugly matches and can keep it ugly, cintron just had an awful outing w/ tony and showed nada. estrada on the cards.
clemente 04-10-2006, 07:32 PM great fight, i think this fight will put wednesday night fights on the map.
i think cintron is too big for welterweight he should move up, i think he'll be more comfortable at 154.
he'll beat estrada though, he's been focusing more since his last lost to margarito.
keystone30pack 04-10-2006, 08:56 PM i'm going w/ estrada. cintron is a pacifist in the ring.
borikua 04-10-2006, 09:13 PM Good fight. Let's see if Cintron learned something from the Marga fight...
borikua 04-18-2006, 08:44 PM No pics of the weight-in?

Until he beats Margarito, he has no bussness in the ring with Mayweather.
Manny_P 04-18-2006, 09:24 PM is this fight gonna be on ESPN?
borikua 04-18-2006, 09:51 PM Yep, tomorrow on ESPN.
alliberg26 04-18-2006, 11:05 PM one thing for sure...estrada win or lose will not cry at the end like cintron.....i pick estrada by decision....cintron has never gone the distance and estrada can take a punch,..i predict after the 6 round..cintron will run out of steam and he'll be looking at his corner for another mercy stoppage....
the_truth_1984 04-18-2006, 11:14 PM Cintron has gone the distance twice.Once in a 6 round fight and in a 10 round fight.I saw him win the 6 rounder. This is a good fight. This is a make or break fight both have lost when they stepped up.Lets be real though, Estrada lost to Ishe Smith who is good but nothing special and to an old Mosley.I know that even at this stage of his career that Mosley is still a handful ask Vargas.Cintron lost to Margarito who is in his prime and a natural welterweight while Mosley wasn't.Cintron was rushed too fast.Being just 24-0 and his biggest win being over the exciting and hard punching but limited Teddy Reid. This fight could go either way but I'm picking Cintron KO 6.
dansweeney 04-18-2006, 11:21 PM Mosley couldn't kayo Estrada, so I don't know if Cintron can. Estrada has balls of steel and won't wilt. Cintron has shown mental vulnerablility. even with all that being said my instincts say cintron by kayo, partly because Manny Steward has been training him. Cintron kayo 6 over Estrada
IwatchBoxing 04-18-2006, 11:21 PM If Cintron wins, he should fight Castillo, if he loses, I give up. :D
