View Full Version : Should Gatti-Mayweather be on ppv trinidadpr87 01-30-2005, 06:43 PM Do you think the Arturo Gatti vs. Floyd Mayweather fight should be on hbo ppv. mauricio95 01-30-2005, 06:44 PM absolutely not  - Evil - 01-30-2005, 06:45 PM Do you think the Arturo Gatti vs. Floyd Mayweather fight should be on hbo ppv. IMO Yes, Mayweathers a pound 4 pound 1/2 and Gatti's a big draw. QueenCity 01-30-2005, 06:47 PM By todays standards they should charge 300 dollers for it. I mean Klitchko/Williams was a PPV headline for crying out loud. mauricio95 01-30-2005, 06:50 PM By todays standards they should charge 300 dollers for it. I mean Klitchko/Williams was a PPV headline for crying out loud. i didn't pay for the klitscko fight I'm not going to pay for this one is looks likes is gonna be a boring one gatti pressing the action and floyd in total reverse mode  Hurlex 01-30-2005, 07:11 PM hell yeah why not it will be good...and even if gattos is loding into late rounds..u know he will stop boxing and go in there firing bombs (because he doesnt have to worry about PBF ower) and making it exciting...so i say yes also abdiel2k3 01-30-2005, 07:20 PM THIS DEF DESERVES TO BE PPV ur krazee if u dont think so these are important guys at 140 plus its for a belt Floydmayweather 01-30-2005, 07:25 PM Yes, it should be phallus 01-30-2005, 07:33 PM hell yeah why not it will be good...and even if gattos is loding into late rounds..u know he will stop boxing and go in there firing bombs (because he doesnt have to worry about PBF ower) and making it exciting...so i say yes also shoudl this be a ppv?? **** YEAH, it's two of the tops guys in the division, gatti is gonna make it exciting, and like abdiel belzer says it's even for a belt Zab Super Judah 01-30-2005, 07:55 PM yes gatti deserves a ppv and mayweather has been exciting as of late.....so gatti vs mayweather should definitely be ppv but they needa good undercard also xrhythmxnxbluesx 01-30-2005, 07:57 PM nah not this one... Johnny_Rocket 01-30-2005, 08:07 PM This could be an amazing fight. Of course it should be on PPV. Truth 01-30-2005, 08:12 PM This is my opinion, if Vitali Klitcshko vs. Danny Williams was a PPV than this should be one without a question. Tha Greatest 01-30-2005, 08:21 PM for u ppl who want it to be PPV are u stupid? you would rather pay 50 for it then get it FREE!? Truth 01-30-2005, 08:26 PM for u ppl who want it to be PPV are u stupid? you would rather pay 50 for it then get it FREE!? The question was should it be PPV fight?, not do you want it to be a PPV fight? Dub Squared 01-30-2005, 08:42 PM I think that this fight could be on PPV, but there had better be at least 1 more good title scrap, along with a an up and comer in action on the card as well. Mayweather-Gatti on its own cannot hold its own as a PPV. Mayweather can't sell out a phone booth as the main guy, so what makes this fight any more worthwhile? Gatti is unbelievable, and I personally will be watching, but for the average fan, it may not hit the spot which makes them purchase, which is what it would need for a profit to be made. Metalhands 01-30-2005, 08:47 PM How to you guys put avatars in your reply? :D Floydmayweather 01-30-2005, 08:49 PM Of course no wants to pay $50.00 dollars but its a ppv worthy fight, for sure. riz 01-30-2005, 08:50 PM hopoefully it wont i wanta c it, if not im screwed PRboxingfan 01-30-2005, 08:54 PM This should be a PPV fight ONLY IF there is a strong undercard. None of this DKP bull ****, I want to see someone good, hopefully in the same division. It won't be KZ - Hatton because that's Showtime but maybe Cotto - Harris or something similar. Metalhands 01-30-2005, 08:54 PM Don't be to optimistic about that fight guys, it will not happen. Don't want to see you talking about something which is wishful thinking :p borikua 01-30-2005, 11:08 PM It should be PPV..but I'll wait a week and see the replay for free, unless they get a great undercard..I already know that I will spend some cash with the Morales-Pac and Trinidad-Wright fights... Floydmayweather 01-30-2005, 11:17 PM Of course it will happen Mayweather needs the belt for bargaining power, I am almost sure of it. DLT 01-31-2005, 12:21 AM i didn't pay for the klitscko fight I'm not going to pay for this one is looks likes is gonna be a boring one gatti pressing the action and floyd in total reverse mode  Floyd will not be in reverse at all. Have you seen his last 3 fights? This will be toe to toe and Floyd will try to take it to him and sell tickets for future fights Dro MACHATERO 01-31-2005, 02:34 PM For a fight to be on PPV, it needs boxers with a fan base. Mayweather and Gatti on PPV will only be a waste of money for HBOPPV, just like the Heavyweight fights were. This fight is for real boxing fans and unfortunately the majority could care less about May-Gatti. It shouldnt be on PPV and it wont be. Unless it comes in a package.......like the Heavyweight Fight Night in MSG, something commercial like that. jack_the_rippuh 01-31-2005, 02:36 PM Yeah it should be a pay per view (I almost typed out paper view...) Gatti has alot of love from alot of fans.. Floyd isn't as big as a name as Gatti, but he's talented. Leija vs. Gatti was a PPV and Leija sucks Dro MACHATERO 01-31-2005, 02:41 PM no it was on HBO. where this fight will end up. It has nothing to do with who sucks its all politics and business. This fight wouldnt bring in the dollar signs that a Tito-WInky or Morales-Pac fight will. Hopkins is P4P #1 right now and his next fight is on HBO. That doesnt mean anything jack_the_rippuh 01-31-2005, 02:43 PM My bad..I could have sworn I read it would be a pay-per view. I saw the fight sunday afternoon. The replay. |
