Both Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson were once great champions at the top of their profession but in the last few years each has brought shame and embarrasment on themselves, tarnishing their overall record and legacy in the process.
At this point in their carreer which one has fallen farther?
Holyfield has only won 2 of his last 8 fights. In the last 5 years Evander has lost to Lennox Lewis, John Ruiz, Chris Byrd, James Toney, and most recently Larry Donald. He has since had his boxing license revoked by the New York State Athletic Commission and his speech has grown increasingly slurred. All the same he insists that he would like to continue fighting.
Iron Mike Tyson - once apon a time the youngest heavyweight champ of all time. He single handedly took thesport on his shoulders and made boxing the most exciting sport in the world -- even to non-boxing fans. Unfortunately, after losing his veneer of invincibility to 42-1 underdog Buster Douglas and then serving a jail term for allegedly raping a miss black america contestant, Tyson has repeatedly brought shame on himself in and out of the ring. First he lost a pair of fights to the above mentioned Holyfield. During the second he was disqualified for biting a piece of Holyfield's ear off and he Nevada Athletic Commission suspended Tyson for 1 year and fined him. He has since filed for bankruptcy after squandering 400 million dollars in earnings. He got his ass handed to him by Lennox lewis and most recently got KO'd by journeyman Danny Williams.
