Everyone post their favourite and most effective punch, and if possible, share some advice on that punch.

my best punch is my right hand anything really,
but all in all my best attack is leg kicks in thai boxing, damn leg kicks can take anyone out!

My best punch is actually the left uppercut,a punch you really don't see too much.

I'm new, so "best" is relative, but I'm having good luck with the short right hook to the head, immediately after a jab: jab -> close -> hook. Fighting southpaw, it seems to land a very high percentage of the time. Working on making it stronger but it seems to befuddle even the more experienced guys at my gym.

left hook to the liver, I love that punch

I'm kinda tall for my weight 6 foot 1 (152pds)and I have long arms so I like to throw the long left hook to stun them.

a combination of a left hook and an uppercut.

It depends where I am in the ring, if I'm in the middle of the ring my right cross is vicious, but only because my jab is pretty good. On the ropes i love everything but especially my right hook cause i'm in great range to throw it. Love my sweeping right hook.

favorite combo is fake jab straight to the body hook to the head

anything with my lead hand is sick.

I always love digging the left hook to the body after dropping a good right hand on a guy. If you landed good with both shots that guy will be in trouble for atleast 15 or 20 seconds. Then open up.

Im really a south paw... But i fight both ways... My best punch has to be my Left straight down the middle then follow with a right Uppercut to the liver.

Looping over hand right followed up with a thai clinch and some knees... devestating punch when it connects.

well my left hook will be my best, once my footwork improves and i land it more(everytime i land it it does damage). but right now my straight right to the body after slipping a jab is doing me a lot of good.

u jus got some fast as hands. i remember last week when i sparred(didnt see the lst round of my memory was full) i threw like 4 left uppercuts to the stomach and i was shocked that i got away with all of that. of course i chased the guy down while doing it :D

Thats the craziest combo i eva heard. Great if u can get away w/ it but most good boxers wouldnt allow it.

You may be able to pull off a triple right hook to the body on beginners but experienced fighters will have you eating counter right hands hard.

Think of James Toney, hed roll your right hand and while your in the same position throwing the next two he is loaded and firing that right hand right back at ya.

I would not recommend triple body shots on the same side. It leaves you to open for counters. I recommend the under and over. Dig the body once, turn the next shot over. You can pull this on any one with training and experience. But the triple hook to the body will only work for a short time in your career man.

straight right hand is my favorite and hardest punch. ive made guys wince just throwing it as an arm punch, but when i plant my feet its got a lot of steam on it.

sadly, my lead hook needs improvement.

my jab i have made it good and strong and really shakes people up in sparing

I like to use right hooks, I like to throw them when someone tries to come in close on me so i throw right hooks followed by some lefts and it tends to rock their heads back and i've busted up a few noses and jaws with it, and also a right straight works well for me too. Also if any of u have ever seen Genki Sudo with his Spinning backfists I like using those when I've done full contact no holds barred MMA type fighting but only against inexperienced guys haha, guys who have seen it all tend to see punches like that one coming especially since im not the best at throwing them yet.

I'm right handed but I've been doing a lot of work on my left punches. My favorite punch would have to be the left uppercut.
It's hard to explain how I generate power on it, but it's mostly a digging motion that I use to launch it.

I like setting it up with a left hook, right hook combo.

jab to the body
lead straight right or left cross to the body(depends if im southpaw or orthodox)
lead left hook
lead right or left cross(depends on southpaw or orthodox)

i like lot of lead shots because im fast and i can use them to fake
guys out

oh yeah and my shoulder roll counter right
i stole from my idol james toney

i only do that in orthodox stance

my best punch is my left jab but my most powerfull is my right hook. aint got no propper ring experience though just sparring.
