I think Gatti looked really good tonight but he is gonna have to go back to old Gatti to have any chance against Floyd. He sure wont beat him in a boxing match. I think Floyd will stop him late after cutting him up bad. Gatti will come chargin at Floyd but he will lose wind and get pop shoted to death. :cool:

Gatti lose wind? Have you seen him fight much?

I have seen him fight alot its one thing to hold on and punch back and fourth but to chase someone when your tired is another. Gatti has heart but if u watch his fights when he is hanging on and banging it out he never has to chase his oppenent ( i.e Ward fight) with Floyd he will need to chase Floyd and he wont be able to catch him.

I think he just meant because of Floyd's style. He lets people hit him and he rolls the punches which usally tires out your opponent. Kind of like what Ouma did tonight

Although I thought Gatti looked pretty damn good in the ring tonight the one thing I caught myself noticing more than anything else was that, Leija only landed a handful of straight rights and to me Gatti's left eye was looking like it wasn't gonna fair to well if the fight lasted any longer. I know that to me Gatti looks pretty much half beaten up by the time he gets into the ring, but I really noticed his left eye didn't seem to fair well at all and that I think could be an even worse problem for him in future fights, alot more so than it has hampered him up to now in his career. If he does fight Floyd, and that imo is a HUGE IF, than either he lands a right on PBF like the one he caught JJL with tonight and hurts him bad enough to stop him VERY early on in the fight, or else he gets pitter patter punched into a chewed up piece of meat over the course of about 1-9 rds. en-route to a lopsided tko defeat.

Right back at you....who has Corely beat? Nobody was really mentioning Leija'a age before the fight....only the fact that he beat Bojado. A win over Leija is better than any win Corely and even Mayweather has had at 140lbs. Give credit where credit is due.

I really am interested in this upcoming bout. You have Mayweather, with the better boxing skills, and then Arturo, who has shown large improvements in his boxing ability. Will he try to outbox Mayweather? Probably not. Since Mayweather is the natural boxer I'd think Arturo's plan would be to make it a war. Mayweather likes to paw and tap away his opponents jabs with his lead hand and even catches jabs at times..boxing him would be a mistake.

There is always a chance when it comes to Gatti but on paper mayweather has the style to beat gatti he is too quick especially when he fought his last fight did you see how fast he jumps back he jumps like 5 feet back so it would be hard for gatti to touch him, and I do not think floyd is dumb enough to trade with gatti.

Boxing PBF would not be wise for GAtti. What other improvements did he show besides jab yesterday. None. And to beat PBF jab will definately not be enough. The only chance of beating PBf is to start a dog fight and hope to stun him and hurt him. So PBF is still a favourite in this fight.

Corley is a much better fighter then Gatti. Why you dont think so, because he lost to Floyd and Zab? They are two of the best. Gatti has lost to average fighters and has had life and death struggles with club fighters.

**** Corley, he doesn't have the handspeed that Gatti has, and Gatti throws some pretty vicious body shots, and puts punches together well. And I think that PBF WILL try to trade with him at least once, to try to prove how great he is by beating Gatti at his own game. He may beat Gatti, but it won't be any kind of shutout.

Gatti might have sufficient power but i guess PBF will be overloaded with it. plus he is better skilled...

Floyd is to smart to trade with Gatti if Gatti tries to rush Floyd will throw a combo and move. If Gatti tries to box well he will be beaten to the punch everytime and well be in for a long painful night.

I am a big fan of Gatti, but his chances are not good. It would be a hell of a show though. No way it would go only two or five rounds. I think Gatti is a warrior. I think Mayweather is a big mouth with good genes. I see Mayweather coming into this fight unprepared and getting a mouthful.
