Spinz 04-06-2006, 08:18 AM "Show me a 5'8", 140 lb boxer with more stamina than a long distance runner. You can't. However, I can take a 5'8", 140 lb long distance runner and tweak his strength a tad bit and he will **** up any boxer in his class if the fight goes more than 3 rounds. Bet!"
wat a ignorant ***. how can someone think that ****?
Da Iceman 04-06-2006, 08:22 AM the runner wouldnt know how to throw a correct punch his arms would be tired and he would get busted up in round 1.

That guy is a wacko and knows very little about boxing and his assumption is totally bogus.
I've read and heard of trainers talk abou how they've trained a long distance runner as boxers and they don't have wind for ****. Just talk to Teddy Atlas...... i've heard him talk about this topic along with other trainers. Long distance runners don't know how to relax in teh ring and don't have the same wind they do as too when they are running.
-Antonio- 04-06-2006, 05:42 PM This guy obviously has no clue to what hes talking about. Anybody can train to run a marathon. It takes absolutly no "skill". Alot of stamina and will power? yes, but you can get that with training.
This **** kinda pisses me off how this *** could think boxing is so damn easy and that all u need is stamina and some power and thats it.
-Antonio- 04-06-2006, 05:55 PM This guy is an idiot. Baseball more physically demanding than football? Thats almost as dumb as the boxing statement.
I hate stupid people that think just because they are in shape...they can fight.
That's retarded.
-Antonio- 04-06-2006, 05:58 PM Also a panel of experts from espn did a survey on what professional sport was the hardest and Im pretty sure it went something like boxing, cycling, hockey, football
.::EnRiQuE::. 04-06-2006, 05:58 PM i have a friend in my history class that is on the track team. kid runs like 5 miles 5 days per week. He tried doing sum backyard boxing with his friends and he sed he had never been so sore. He sed his thighs felt like they were on fire.....Boxing stamina is different than stamina needed for other sports

I read the article in your link, and those first two writers were Siamese Twin Retards, (not to offend anyone mentaly challenged), that were seperated at birth, and are finally meeting on the inet for the first time ever. The boxing comment vs. MMA is something where only people who actually participate competitively in a combative sport actuality understand what they are even comparing. First off they have two totally different purposes; MMA is basically trying to "kill" the opponent to save your own life, like in war; and boxing and wrestling are the oldest forms of "competitive sport" in human and even mythological histories, one of the gemini twins actually was a boxer, (for those who really don't know jack **** about anything and then try and rip boxing and wrestling ).
Saying a boxer who fights a long distance runner or whatever, who has trained for only six months at boxing, (are these guys really that stupid), would have no chance in beating true contender for a title 99.999999999999% of the time, is a F*&#in' understatement.
And finally the main statement that pissed me off was "Show me a 5'8", 140 lb boxer with more stamina than a long distance runner. You can't. However, I can take a 5'8", 140 lb long distance runner and tweak his strength a tad bit and he will **** up any boxer in his class if the fight goes more than 3 rounds. Bet!" For a boxer at 140 lbs with unbelievable stamina and endurance, (these guys gotta get of their ass and buy a newspaper) I'd say Pretty Boy Floyd at 140lbs was a freak of nature. How amuzing the comment was about a 140 pound fighter and the guy answered none. Bloody idiots...
Johnny Blayzz 04-06-2006, 06:18 PM Could you imagine, Pacman or Barrera or Morales vs a lond distance runner for real, lol, like watching a ****in' pinata competition.....

I kinda wanna see it...
legacyofbrutality 04-06-2006, 06:41 PM I say we send one of our aspiring boxers from this forum to go find out where this ******* lives and challenge his ass to a fight.
DiegoFuego 04-06-2006, 06:50 PM I'll say it again. Isn't myspace for people who struggle in social situations outside the house?
captain_caveman 04-07-2006, 09:33 PM I'm no sport runner but I run at 5 AM 5 days a week, I work in a shipyard, I weigh 220 lbs, and I don't know what Ronald would do to me for 9 months but I think that no matter what he thought he was doing, he would probably kill me by trying desparately hard to prove his point. Not to mention that one professional punch to the arm could break it, nevermind what would happen to my chin. Stupid Ronald. What a stupid frikkin argument. Who are these people?
Konstantin 04-08-2006, 12:32 AM The majority there are so biased they think that the sport they play is the hardest.
But what do yall think?
Id say either water polo, rugby and boxing are the toughest.
