Yeah, prime Tyson had a jab that helped him get in, Foreman had the punish you jab that helped setup his straight right. Holmes however built his entire career on the jab.

Virgil Hill also built his career on the Jab although he did it at middle weight.

I like Lewis's jab the best

but 1 had to remember without tysons jab it would have been impossible for him to get in and do his damage. thus not making him IRON mike tyson :)

Wlads jab is good also...but I think his suspect chin has overshadowed his boxing skill...he almost always follows it with a straight right...basic but very effective from a guy his size

guys guys guys. i said AFFECTIVE. tyson had to get in some how to use his hooks. so wouldnt that mean that his jab even if it didnt connect was a good way to get inside.and he didnt really use it to hit ppl he used it to get in. as u can see in his 80s fights alot of his jabs r very slow cause he is jus using it as a tool to get in :boxing:

Usually great jab artists are tall with a long reach. Shorter guys like Tyson, Marciano, Frazier tend to specialise more in hooks.

I saw Julius Long against Terry Smith in Sept. 2005 and he's way better than his 14-7 record would suggest. The crazy thing about him is that he likes to stalk opponents and pin them to the ropes, wailing away with his long arms. He had Smith in trouble a couple times that way.

Although I don't think it will last very long (no pun intended), Julius is fighting Sam Peter on April 28:
