Promoter Stacy Goodson has announced his Heavy Slug Out III event for July 22 at the Fort Smith Convention Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas and a “special feature bout” between “King of the Four Rounders” Eric “Butterbean” Esch, 72-7-4 (54 KOs), and former heavyweight contender Mitch “Blood” Green, 19-6-1 (12 KOs), is on the bill. 49-year-old Green has been publicly calling out Bean as of late and Goodson has apparently made it happen. Also on the card will be rising heavyweight puncher JD “The Natural Chapman, 20-0 (18 KOs), and Matt Hicks, 9-0 (9 KOs). Green is currently riding a two-fight winning streak, including a KO 4 over Billy Mitchem last August. Butterbean has recently scored an MMA victory over Wesley “Cabbage” Correira and a decision victory over formerly undefeated Dan White in boxing.
