i agree im from the bay and i feel like people to bump more than just E-40, the way i look at it snoop made money off of material that he basically took straight from us in the bay and bay area artists. If the south can make noise why cant we?

I made a thread on the exact same thing a few weeks ago..

I ain't exactly from the Bay, from the valley...Sacramento...but same thing almost...everyone in sac throws it down for the Bay...

I love the Bay Area music, most of these east coast people listen to nothing but lyrics, but the Bay got some nice ****..

Lots of great rappers to come out of here...

I just bout 2 of Keak Da Sneaks album n they thizzzzzzin!

The Bay has had too many legends...just been underlooked, or whatever the word for it is...

Fab has moments where hes a dope MC, Keak is wack from what Ive heard. I guess Im just stuck on the lyrics because Im from the East Coast.

i have love for some bay area artists. i can't believe you didn't mention (they are from LA i believe but rep san fran and bay area) The People Under The Stairs. Dude's are one of my favorite rap groups ever and make some of the nicest, smoothed out beats I've heard.

I think they are dropping a new album called "Stepfather" pretty soon. Take a chance on it and cop that ****...it'll be worth it.

Bay Area hip-hop sucks IMO. Not all but most, it just sounds too friggin' "ghetto".

JT and the whole GET LOW no having talent posse!

RBL was alright,

E-40 is about a 7

TOO SHORT was the sh*t back in the late 80's early 90's, the album he has out now is whack as f**k.

Alot of these Bay Area "superstars" have no real talent on the mic PERIOD!
