View Full Version : B-Hop is still a *****
nezahualcoyotl 09-19-2004, 03:29 PM Hopkins is still a ***** for fighting little guys. I mean to me this was like me fighting my little brother. Of course I'm going to kick his ass, but that shouldn't mean I get all these props...should it?
My question is do you think B-Hop will capitalize on this win and go on to make another Mega-FIght? LOL! Tarver & Jones would knock this sucka out.
He didn't keep his word either. What happened to the fast pace from the 1st round?
DLH should get an Academy Award for his performance as best supporting actress in a drama - when he went down "out of breath" but still had enuff energy to punch the ground a few times LOL! This guy is ridiculous - but I guess really WE are the SUCKERS for buying his fights...oh well at least he's getting paid and we are getting entertained?
Boring fight - not even worth my time to download.
I'm sticking to Solo Boxeo! hahaha!
Later!
m00ks 09-19-2004, 03:35 PM Wtf! You know nothing. I'm sick of people like you who can't appreciate a good fight when they see one. Had B-hop taken this match lightly, Oscar would have capitalized. He played it smart, backed off when he needed to and forward when the time was right. If you feel suckered then that's your opinion and I feel somewhat sorry for you.

just what I was gonna say
mic573 09-19-2004, 03:39 PM He was fooling Delahoya into thinking that he was going to bring the fight to him just like he did with Trinidad. I picked up on that when Bouie Fischer kept saying he's starting to come now. They wanted Delahoya to be the aggressor so they can counter. The body shot was a good shot and Oscar was hurt. People are ridiculous to believe that Oscar wasn't hurt and didn't want to continue fighting. He was never hurt or stunned by Hopkins punches up until the body shot to want to give up.
nezahualcoyotl 09-19-2004, 03:44 PM HAHAHA! Relax fellas!
This is just a posting forum - its not real life. Just take a deep breathe and drink a beer or smoke a joint. lol.
Why do you guys take this so seriously? You swear I just slapped your baby's mama or something.

nezahualcoyotl 09-19-2004, 03:48 PM YEA! I think she liked it too! LOL!
Marjoh 09-19-2004, 03:55 PM It's his career. He was offered a job where he is best at and there's no point on finding another job. In this case, the middleweight division. Sure Tarver and Jones can kick Hopkins' ass on the upper division, but so can DLH to Pacqiuao. And if you know boxing, then you know DLH wasn't acting.

Oh, and you weren't being serious. And this has nothing to do whether it's the internet or not. You can go to this people's houses and say what you just said in person, and they'll feel the same way. Because we're fans of the sports.

Sorry dude - no offense. Dont get mad b/c I may be right. Hey you may be right that it was an effective punch, but tha's on you.
Not quite sure what you meant in your last post. Something about "you can go to this people's houses?" Please reiterate if you will.
Peace
pimpin2 01-29-2005, 11:29 AM stupid ass people
TheRealDunnagan 01-29-2005, 11:53 AM Hopkins is no fool. That DLH fight marked his 20th defense I'm pretty sure, if that were me I would've used his same strategy. He's gonna probably give 25 defenses and then retire, hopefully he doesn't move up in weight class.
m00ks 01-29-2005, 11:55 AM I smell Eastman upset hehehe.
trephination 01-29-2005, 12:03 PM Hopkins is far from a *****.The man has knocked out both Trinidad and Delahoya.
bigbadbri 01-29-2005, 02:09 PM I smell Eastman upset hehehe. That's funny, i can smell upset as well ;)
eventhough jones jr is washed up..i still think he can beat hopkins being that hopkins dosent have any power
bonafuwa 01-29-2005, 02:19 PM How did Jones Jr. even figure into this thread? We're talking Hopkins and middleweight, and you go mention Jones!
The Phantom Menace 01-29-2005, 02:31 PM eventhough jones jr is washed up..i still think he can beat hopkins being that hopkins dosent have any power
Of course he doesn't have power huh? That's why he knocked out Felix Trinidad into oblivion. LMAO
trinidad is a blown up welterweight ..son
The Phantom Menace 01-29-2005, 02:40 PM trinidad is a blown up welterweight ..son
Trinidad weighed 158 for that fight while Hopkins was 156, he was actually heavier than Hopkins. It is a known fact that Hopkins is considered a small middleweight and he himself is just about a blown up welterwieght too.
jack_the_rippuh 01-29-2005, 02:54 PM This thread is hereby locked..
I run the show here..
Floydmayweather 01-29-2005, 03:17 PM I like Bhop but he needs to fight some bigger "middleweights" and he is fighting eastman so that is good. Then he should fight Tarver or someone bigger if he wins his legacy will be made that much better.
Floydmayweather 01-29-2005, 03:17 PM He should also fight Jermaine Taylor before he retires.

It is a known fact that Hopkins is considered a small middleweight and he himself is just about a blown up welterwieght too.Being considered, and actually "being", are not the same, thing. Those who actually came from welterweight, and him having just sat there for nine years, are two stories.

Are you serious, does a ***** fight with a dislocated shoulder after being slammed to the ground illegally? Echols was going to recieve a DQ, but Hopkins said no, and claimed he would fight on, and later went on to knock him out in the 10th. Hopkins has some of greatest courage shown by a boxer.
QueenCity 01-29-2005, 03:45 PM Hopkins ain't perfect but he has earned the right to be the top fighter around. What is he 41 now and he still looks like a guy in there mid 20's in the ring.
The Phantom Menace 01-29-2005, 03:52 PM Being considered, and actually "being", are not the same, thing. Those who actually came from welterweight, and him having just sat there for nine years, are two stories.
He dominated for nine years not just sat there. Hagler made his legacy beating so called "blown up welterweights" too, Duran, Hearns. I don't hear you Tito nut huggers saying anything about that. Face the facts and quit whining like little girls, Hopkins beat the living piss out of Tito and you nut huggers can't accept it so you make up ten million excuses.
If Hopkins is a ***** than Tito is surely a ***** because Hopkins gave him a humiliating beating, it wasn't even competitive.
Floydmayweather 01-29-2005, 03:58 PM Hopkins is no ***** by far.

If Hopkins is a ***** than Tito is surely a ***** because Hopkins gave him a humiliating beating, it wasn't even competitive.I did not call Hopkins a *****, I said he wasnt a welterweight. If anything, Hopkins just doesnt care about the fans, or doing anything esle, other than breaking his record.
Hagler, had a real fan base, thats why hes known there, with Tyson, and Lenoard, for being boring  .

I agree

Hopkins a blown up welterweight?!?!?!?!? Whaaaa?!?!??!?!?
No.....defenitely not. Hopkins is literally a slimmed down light-heavyweight. He started his career at 175.
Hopkins lightest fighting weight ever was 169lbs in the ring vs. De La Hoya where there was a catchweight. He usually steps into the ring at +175lbs.
Trinidad usually steps into the ring for his middleweight bouts at around 165-170 (he was 168 in his fight against Mayorga). Hopkins defenitely was bigger physically than Trinidad in their match. I would bet money on that. Hopkins defenitely was bigger physically than Trinidad in their match. I would bet money on that.
Look at Hopkins during weigh-ins - He looks like a damn skeleton. Then look at him during his fights - He looks like a friggin bodybuilder. He puts on 15-20lbs overnight between weigh-in and fight. He is huge for a middleweight. Echols, Vanderpool, and even Glen Johnson probably aren't any bigger physically than Bernard Hopkins.
Hopkins is a good to great fighter, but defenitely not a legendary one. And yes....he needs to grow some in-ring cajones and move up in weight to at least SuperMiddle/Light-Heavy. He could even move up to cruiserweight if he wanted to.
dansweeney 01-29-2005, 08:07 PM id like to knockout the ****** who started this thread, hey *******, lets see you do five years in federal lockup and get stabbed and then lose your first bout , and then go on to reign as the middleweight champion for 10 years, and at 40 still be able to knockout guys 10 years your junior *******! ya what a *****!

I truly respect the man and way he has dealt with the playing cards life has given him. He has done a done a phenominal job with his life. It is amazing that given all he has been through, he is an excellent athlete, defenite class act, devoted father and husband, and is an example of moderation in lifestyle during an era of excess of all shapes and forms.
But in my opinion, he does not have the greatest in-ring cajones. Other than his fight with Felix Trinidad, he has ducked true in-ring adversity. He is a natural lightheavyweight beating up on blown-up welters/super-welters.
deuce_drop 01-30-2005, 06:03 AM the guy who started the thread has no clue. if he and/or anyone else can't respect what hopkins has accomplished in and out of the ring, and after all that has been put in front of him, then he and those who follow, are too obtuse to know anything about boxing.......and life..... and should keep there mouths shout, for further embarrasment.........c'mon seriously.........sperm burpers!!! gain consciousness!!!

Wow you got issues phony, i mean homie. You act like B-Hop pays your rent. All this dude is doing is getting paid...and guess what WE (the fans) aint getting paid or entertained at that. How many fight of the year's has B-Hop been in? Not lately. i rest my case.
Eastman would've gave b-hop a good fight a few years ago, i think he's lost a step. B-Hop by a sleeping decision.
