FR: Punch for punch actually Mike is more explosive than Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko is so big and he doesn’t have the speed of Mike, but he’s got that dense power though so Mike’s asset is the speed that comes with the power. Klitschko doesn’t have that speed so if you see a punch coming and you can prepare for it, it won’t knock you out. Punch for punch I think Klitschko probably hits a little bit harder but Mike’s much more explosive.

Tyson's power is unexplainable...
There are people who hit harder than him, but I guess it shocks you, because the punch doesn't appear to be a big punch when it's coming at you...then you get knocked out.

I've read an interview with Tommy Brooks(another world class trainer)who also said Wladimir Klitschko has higher single-punch power than Mike Tyson.

Tyson has the more effective accurate puches that are quick and unseen. I think Tyson throws harder in an actual fight because he gets the leverage he needs to throw a bomb quick. Vlad and Wlad don't get into a position to much to unload at maximum strength.

tyson in his prime was a much more devastating puncher than wlad, wlad may hit harder, but tyson could delever a knockout blow from all angles, uppercuts and hooks you wouldnt see, his explosiveness in delivering the punch was far more effective than anything wlad can throw

of course wlad hits harder, look at the size of him, and his reach, but tyson has better technique, he gets more leverage and creates better angles on his punches. hes more accurate

tysons punches are a bit sharper than wlads also

As far as punch for punch because Wlad is bigger so he might hit harder, but Tyson is the overall better puncher because of speed and explosiveness. So Roach's opinions sounds pretty beliviable to me.
