Dream fight that would be a slugfest! mayorga would win but I would dish out 40 bucks to watch it! I really hope this fight happens. But vargas is fighting at 160 now. He weighed in at 170 after his fight with vanderpool so he must really be struggling making weight.

This would be a good comeback fight for them both. I would love to see it to. It would be a war..

This would be an all out war & a great fight if it came off. But I think the last thing Vargas wants in a comeback fight is another war.

i like vargas tho, he has good wars, the only problem is he usually loses them, he has a bit of a stamina issue to. great fight tho

It could happnen but not as a comeback fight. I would love to see it i would give the edge to Mayorga because of Vargas inactivity.

I would give the edge to mayorga only because vargas does not have the best chin, and one of mayorgas haymakers would send him to the canvas fast! like andrew six heads lewis.

First of all Vargas did a lot better against Tito than Mayorga. Vargas actually came back and KOd Tito before Tito cheated with low blows before Vargas finished him off. Vargas had a great amateur career and he is an Olympic medalist. Quit doubting his skills just because he hasn't fought in a while. He is still very young and he would definitely outbox and manhandle Mayorga. Mayorga got overhyped because Forrest decided to brawl against him and got KTFO. After the Forrest fights, Mayorga hasn't shown or proved anything.

So what makes you think he has a chance against a younger, stronger and more technical fighter like Vargas?

Man now that's some of the funniest **** I've ever heard in my time on this board! So how was it again Tito cheated by hitting low just as Vargas was coming in for the kill? Please, man I'd love to hear your blow by blow analysis on how some of the rds. in that fight went! How about starting with the first rd? Let me guess Tito cheated and punched Vargas when he was looking at some celebrity in the crowd, Or maybe his mom's pertty dress distracred him and BOOM tito cheated and punched him? LOL!!!!!!!!

mayorga vs vargas will almost surely happen..and mayorga will win///vargas is not hard to hit when he's being pressured and freeze's...so it will turn into chin vs chin...and of couse varga's chin will let him down big time against mayo power...i wanna see mayorga vs margarito...thats good times right there

For a comeback it would be tough but if Tito did it, el ferocious can do it too I think. He already proved his ability to keep cool under fire and stick to a figth plan.
If he's sharp as before, which should be if he's serious, mayorga will look like the stupid clown he is getting beaten thoroughly

vargas could beat mayorga based on counter-punches and head-movement. but he probably wouldn't if mayorga were in good form

Ths woudld be a stupid fight for boxing. You don't make a fight out of two fighters making a comeback. 1) You send the loser back into retirement with all of his resepctive fan base with him and 2) You can't make a big statement on your comeback by beating a guy who's been inactive for so long or a guy who just got beaten to a bloody pulp.

This will be total war. I hope this fight will happen at the end of this year. Both are warriors and will show that in the ring. Perhaps it will be the fight of the year 2005!
