i think this fight sould happen at the end of the year. both fighters benift from this . lacy by redeeming himself with another bigger named fighter. manfredo by stepping up again. i think this fight could go either way but im leaning toward manfredo. hes the better boxer and now lacy has been exposed. plus roach is in his corner. this could be a very exiting fight it needs to happen.

Roach was in his corner in his second fight with Mora, he still lost.. Lacy would take this.

Lacy would win this fight but it makes for a very interesting fight, i say get it done.

ehh.. honestly.. he can outbox lacy for a few rounds.. but lacy will eventually land and end the fight.. lacys beastly at 168.. and manfredos power wont keep lacy at bay reguardless of what he did to pemberton.. i heard he weighted around 180 for that fight.. not completely sure

Lacy takes this one. Manfredo might do well at first but would get KO'd in seven. Pemberton was a step up, but I dont think hes ready for Lacy.

This would be moving Peter a little too qickly and overrating his victory over Sandman a little too much.

From what I have read 168 pounds is not even where Peter will ultmately end up...he belongs at middlweight or even junior middle.

Hey scap, just wondering...did you see the Manfredo Mora 2. Manfredo truly won that fight and he was robbed. Everybody in boxing was saying the same thing. Now that Lacy got totally schooled by Calzaghe I think the Lacy vs Manfredo look to shape up well. I give it to Lacy because of his power but as a boxer I gotta go with Manfredo. Could go either way. No matter what next time Lacy comes to fight, I hope he worked on his head movement and boxing skills or he will continue to get his ass handed to him by any of the top 10 in his class. I dont know but Manfredo looked really small, i still think this would be a kool matchup peter with his boxing skills would have some good moments early but I think Lacy hurts him in the later rounds and eventually KO's him in 8. I still like Peter Manfredo's skills though but Lacy is too much for him.

I agree, Lacy lost to a very good fighter in Calzaghe but Manfredo would be a good way to come back for Lacy.I think Lacy is still a world class fighter although somewhat one dimensional at this point, would still somewhat easily beat Manfredo.

This is somewhat like Cotto-Malignaggi.Power vs. boxing skill.Manfredo would have moments in this fight by boxing from the outside but Lacy would keep coming forward and land a big shot and put Manfredo to sleep.Manfredo better stay away from fights like these if he wants a good career.

i have seen alot of manfredos fights he has a really good chin. all lacy has is power and a chin i respect him but i see more losses in lacys future.

manfredo couldnt outbox lacy any more than he outboxed the other chump-tenders. hes got no height advantage, lacys got a better reach, lacy could probably thump with at least the cruisers, while manfredo is a puffed up middle.
the only guys manfredo ever beat were frankie randall, who was washed up about 12 YEARS AGO, and scott pemberton, who was either a shot to **** fighter or he had a little extra ESPN money in his trunks that night. he looked beyond ****ty against manfredo, too ****ty.

you must be a ****ing psychic. hey, i see a loss in joe calzaghes future, and a lot more than 1 loss in manfredos future. fighters lose fights, no great boxer ever was totally undefeated, except marciano.
all lacy has is power and a chin?? are you serious? well, if you teach him how to box and move he'll have everything. lacy is only 28, hes got a great ****ing trainer in dan birmingham, and hes not a punk in any way. he comes to fight, he works hard and he listens and learns. hes gonna be the super middle champ as soon as he gets a rematch with calzaghe.
what does manfredo have? hes got that bull**** padded record, why? doesnt he have any pop or a good chin? ive watched him fight and i know hes not a very good boxer. if he hadnt been handled like a golden egg he'd be just another club fighter.

your friend lost both those fights though right? so losing fights early on to peter in his pro career makes him an expert on how peter is now and what he is ready for?

Good fight, big fight for both of them. I think Lacy would win and it's a good rebuilding fight for him.
