View Full Version : Prince Naseem was calling out Floyd Mayweather...
hectari 01-28-2005, 09:56 PM when floyd was at 130! I heard him saying that after he demolished augie sanchez! but he said he would not go up to 130 to fight prettyboy that floyd would have to meet him at 126 or a catch weight. That would have been a hell of a fight! who would have won that?
MetalVomit 01-28-2005, 10:25 PM when floyd was at 130! I heard him saying that after he demolished augie sanchez! but he said he would not go up to 130 to fight prettyboy that floyd would have to meet him at 126 or a catch weight. That would have been a hell of a fight! who would have won that?
Floyd. Naseem was overrated, as was shown by Marco.
hectari 01-28-2005, 10:26 PM Naseem was fun as hell though he was the highest paid featherweight in the history of boxing! he got 5 million for that barrera fight I think.
Marjoh 01-28-2005, 10:27 PM Yeah, the Prince was overrated. Barrera exposed him, and I see Mayweather doing the same.
jack_the_rippuh 01-28-2005, 10:31 PM Mayweather would have killed him fighting how he use to fight back then. It would have been a one-sided affair. It probably would have been more exciting with the current style Mayweather uses now, though.
Hamed realized that Mayweather needed him, and not the other way around...so he ducked the hard fight..
jack_the_rippuh 01-28-2005, 10:33 PM Truth is...I wish "Prince" Naseem Hamed never lossed to Barrera. I'm not a fan, but I just wish it never happened..
Ya know, we all suck. One whiff of a "Naz is back" rumour and we're all ****ing over it like flies-on-****.
The Feather scene, and any other scene, is too rich for the mentally weak Naz Man. He just likes to see his name in the papers, even if we wipe our ass with it after.
hectari 01-28-2005, 11:23 PM Hahahah naz looks like a lizard.

Rippuh .. so, we meet again, on the same day.
That is the **** for sure. Naz was a bully full stop. He didn't like to get hit, so Barrera was his complete ****ing undoing man. All Naz can bring to the ring now is a shell of the "Prince". But, let's imagine that a Prime Prince could suddenly appear on the Feather scene. Doesn't ****ing matter, 'cause any of the top guys would beat him on any combination of heart, skill, conditioning, dedication, desire, reflexes, power, endurance, strength, chin, whatever. Naz was never a complete package 'cause his mind was never there. He liked beating-up guys, full stop. He was never dedicated to the sport. He saw it as a Naz Fest, but Barrera didn't sign-up for that circus.
MlLkMan 01-28-2005, 11:51 PM Yeah, the Prince was overrated. Barrera exposed him, and I see Mayweather doing the same.
-------------------------------------------
i wudn't say he was overrated just that barrera beat him.
i had it like 116-113 i think or sumin like that
Floydmayweather 01-29-2005, 12:50 AM Mayweather would beat him to a pulp.
Powerpunch4u 01-29-2005, 01:35 AM Pacman would destroy him in one or two rounds.
onikami 01-29-2005, 01:50 AM Naz was great for British boxing. It bought the sport back to the forefront.
SonnyJ 01-29-2005, 09:20 AM mayweather would tear haseem apart
RipTheJacker 03-16-2005, 10:26 PM Pacman would destroy him in one or two rounds.
That would be a bad match-up for Pac-man who is constantly coming forward. I've never seen a harder puncher at 126 and below than Naseem. The thing with the Barerra fight. Prince was a flat-footed stalker throwing one punch at a time. From sparring a measly 12rds to not doin road-work then getting hit with that beer and not doing the flip, it was bad times for Naz whom i credit for renewing my love for 'TheSweetScience'as a whole again and not just the heavy-weights. But with Pac-Man,
Manny would get caught imo opinion and Naz' power was extraordinary.

any boxer that puts his entire body in a punch has extraordinary power.. and i do agree with you, Naz would catch Manny but i think Manny has the edge in Power...

hey Run.. who is that picture JMM is busting on?... That guy looks tore up!
Crouching Tiger 03-16-2005, 10:54 PM Mayweather will pulverize the poor guy. Naz's grossly overweight and he won't have the same speed and power he had when he was at feather. Add to that the rust in being inactive for 3 years!! I say he stay retired and just enjoy his millions. :boxing:
hey Run.. who is that picture JMM is busting on?... That guy looks tore up!
It was Manuel Medina.
I keep switching sigs though. :p
I remember this clear as day. Mayweather called Naz out first because Floyd wanted the big fights and Naz was brining in the most money. Then since Naz wasnt no punk, he said anytime.
The MAB fight didnt kill this. What happened was that Floyd killed Chico and then Naz wanted no part of him. In the interview with Merchant after the Chico fight, Floyd said that he wants Naz and would fight him at 128 and then Merchant replied "You know that Naz isnt going to fight you after what he saw tonight". And he was right
Morales,JMM,Barrera, pacman, and nas would all beat floyd
floyd is overrated
Morales,JMM,Barrera, pacman, and nas would all beat floyd
floyd is overrated
Floyd would kill all of them. He is better then them in every catagory including power at those weights
*cough* bull****
floyd sucks balls castillo wooped his ass.
xrhythmxnxbluesx 03-17-2005, 01:46 AM price was hella fun to watch... even though he lost to marco it was funnie how he gets hit too... a jab can rock him har har... but i think the way pretty boy use to fight and i wish he still does will kill prince... as price being the highest paid featherweight ever... it will change very very soon...
adeelr 03-17-2005, 02:43 AM or..........Naz might have knocked mayweather out..it was a possiblity and a high one
*cough* bull****
floyd sucks balls castillo wooped his ass.
I think you must be getting him mixed up with all the guys you said that would beat him since they all have more then one loss and most have been KO
or..........Naz might have knocked mayweather out..it was a possiblity and a high one
How in the world was there a high possibility that he would KO Floyd when he had just finishing destroying Chico who hits harder then Naz and Naz then went on to be outboxed badly by MAB. So imagine how Floyd wouldve outboxed him and then KO him
Sinatra.Jr 03-17-2005, 04:52 AM Mayweather will win the fight like Barrera did.Naseem was overrated.
i dun know y u gyz say he was overrated, he had many TKO's and KO's and his only loss was to barrera.
he beat
mccolough
sanchez
ingle
alicea
and kelly
these were sum real gyz so i wudn't say he was exposed jus that he lost
masterdirector 03-17-2005, 04:03 PM would've loved to see Hamed vs. Mayweather, although yeah Mayweather would've beat him.
I wish someone would fully adopt Nas's style because that is the reason I liked him so much. His style was so f'n unorthodox and fun as hell to watch. He's one of those rare guys like Tyson that you could watch beating up bums all day. Most guys I'll enjoy watching beating on bums some, but before long they need to step up. But Tyson and Nas have those styles that watching their old early fights against bums just never gets old.
eazy_mas 01-13-2006, 04:34 PM Naz is a good boxer great skills and speed.
He have a chance with Mayweather.
Easy-E 01-13-2006, 04:42 PM when floyd was at 130! I heard him saying that after he demolished augie sanchez! but he said he would not go up to 130 to fight prettyboy that floyd would have to meet him at 126 or a catch weight. That would have been a hell of a fight! who would have won that?
floyd wins this fight via tko imo, dropping naz a few times
Easy-E 01-13-2006, 04:43 PM Morales,JMM,Barrera, pacman, and nas would all beat floyd
floyd is overrated
LOL!!!!!!!!!!1

Hammed is making comeback, basing on his recent weight they can still fight somewhere near 140 or 147lb.
2_piece_combos 01-14-2006, 09:31 AM This thread is a farce. Hamed never called out Floyd. Floyd called out Hamed. Hamed said he would not fight Floyd because he can make millions fighting bums. Clearly aand is a fan of Hamed.

Hamed KO 1 Little Floyd.
Floyd was just way to big for Hamed and knew that, Thats the only reason he called him out.
2_piece_combos 01-14-2006, 09:49 AM 4lbs? I guess that's why Floyd asked him to meet at a catchweight of 128lbs. Still Hamed turned him down.

Lies
Hamed also started his pro career at 115lbs and he was only like 4'8 to begin with while Floyd stands 6'2 and walks around at 170+

:lol1: Floyd who?
Mayweather began his amateur career at 106lbs. He stands at 5'8" and walks around at 146lbs. Where are you getting your information? :lol1:

Pffft
what Floyd weighted when he was 12 dont count.
2_piece_combos 01-14-2006, 10:05 AM Just face it, dude. Hamed was WAAAAYYYY overrated. How can a professional fighter body slam his opponent and not get DQ'd? Yes, ask your boy Hamed. He won the WBC title afte body slamming Cesar Soto in the ring. The ref didn't do *****. Hamed sucks.
Sir_Jose 01-14-2006, 10:07 AM Please.
Soto deserved that Bodyslam he was fighting dirty allnight long.
And yes that was just the WBC dont forget about him winning the IBF or KO'ing the WBA Champ or the WBO champ.
Hey maybe Tom Johnson didn't deserve that uppercut either huh.
DIEGO DA HITMAN 01-14-2006, 11:07 AM Rippuh .. so, we meet again, on the same day.

Thank you. Barrers destroyed the so-called "Prince". Princess Hamed would get beaten even worse by Mayweather. That dude is all talk, and he would get his ass handed to him by Pacquiao, Morales, Marquez, and just about every other true champ from that era, and this one. I love to watch the guy fight, don't get me wrong, but the Barrera fight showed that it was all just hype. If he comes back, he won't do ****.
czars_salad 01-14-2006, 11:28 AM Floyd. Naseem was overrated, as was shown by Marco.
agree... but it would be entertaining

He was a good fighter, but not a great one. Barrera exposed him, and then he fell off the face of the Earth, so what you're saying is true, but at the same time, he was not a great champion, and would get pummeled by Mayweather even worse than the beatdown Marco Antonio put on him.
TheEvilSaint 01-14-2006, 12:28 PM if naz was so convincingly defeated by MAB, just imagine how easily floyd wouldve dismantled the smaller, slower, less skilled, and ridiculously overrated hamed.

You need to remember though, PBF calls out all the great fighters but never seems to fight them, even if they say yes.
PBF has been a fight dodger for three years now and still his blind fans love him, that must be some kind of record!!!
adeelr 01-14-2006, 03:19 PM i saw an interview of floyd mayweather where he was calling out naz.
EXIGE 01-14-2006, 03:35 PM Ok i think people are getting mixed up...
Both were calling each other out. After the Augie Sanchez fight (and that KO is one of the best i have seen of all time), he said he will take anyone on and that he plans on being a "legend". He mentioned Floyd Mayweather, and so did Manny Steward who was there at ringside. We are talking like 2000/2001 here.... this is before Mayweather beat Castillo II and when Naz was on the decline. There is an argument in saying that Naz would lose, as at this point in time he was no way near his prime (After Sanchez). Prime Naz was before Kelley... but lets not forget how he dismantled so many after Kelley and including Kelley.
At the time that **** was said, you guys wouldnt be banking your money on Floyd Mayweather for sure. Naz was rated as one of, if not THE best P4P fighter by many (before this site was even set up), and before Barrerra he still appeared invincible. For those who are saying he is overrated, tell me which part of his gameplan is overrated please??
For those who are interested in the real Naz, watch Naz under Brendan Ingle, not Oscar Suarez and Manny Steward, then you will find out the real potential Naz had, which he wasted partly through arrogance and partly through losing Frank Warren and Brendan Ingle who had served him so well....
Like Jose says, the Soto bodyslam was warranted. But i really like how people "conveniently forget" the WWF **** Barrerra pulled off, on that night in Las Vegas...
