She had some guns on her too. Mishra100 03-30-2006, 11:03 AM Ouch, right on the end of the chin. What a knockout. TheBlackWallStreet 03-30-2006, 11:08 AM Anyone have details on this fight? The chick that KOed that other woman seemed pretty excited in doing so. Was she an underdog? And yes that was a brutal KO and defines knocking someone flat. Derranged 03-30-2006, 11:15 AM Beautifully done. I saw this fight, that was goddamn brutal. Did she get to fight that man yet, Anne Wolfe? She was supposed to like a year ago. Talking Turkey 03-30-2006, 11:15 AM What an appalling lack of respect she showed at the end. i hope someone does the same to her someday and gives her a taste of her own medicine. Double 03-30-2006, 11:18 AM I believe that was Anne Wolf, did she ever figh that dude? Derranged 03-30-2006, 11:18 AM What an appalling lack of respect she showed at the end. i hope someone does the same to her someday and gives her a taste of her own medicine. Yea but the other one was on the canvass for longer than the video showed, the one who knocked her out was actually praying in the corner later and did feel bad about it. opethdrums 03-30-2006, 11:19 AM **** that looks just like in that movie with the skinny girl boxer that hits her head on a stool tjmoney 03-30-2006, 11:24 AM Laila Ali would smack her around one good time. Shanus 03-30-2006, 11:27 AM The one who got knocked out is actually Cruiserweight champion now I believe. TheBlackWallStreet 03-30-2006, 11:33 AM Dug up some info on the fight for those who are interested like me and TJMONEY you might want to read it. Credit to http://www.wban.org/ On May 8, 2004 before 5,000 fans at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Ann (172 lbs) scored a spectacular first-round knockout over undefeated Vonda Ward (6'6", 170 lbs) to win the vacant IBA Light Heavyweight (175 lb) world title. Trainer Emanuel Steward had advised Wolfe to attack the much taller Ward inside. Wolfe followed a vicious left hook to the body with an overhand right that caught her nine-inch taller opponent squarely on the chin and snapped her head back midway through the opening round. Ward fell to the canvas unconscious and lay there motionless for several minutes while the ringside physician and EMS technicians attended to her. She was removed from the ring on a stretcher wearing a neck brace and being given oxygen and was taken by ambulance to Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center for a CAT scan. She was diagnosed with slight concussion and then kept overnight for observation. Ward, who had been a star NCAA basketball center in Pat Summitt's prestigious University of Tennessee program, didn’t land a single punch before being felled by Wolfe's right hand for the KO at 1:08 into the fight. Ward fell to 18-1 (15 KOs) with the loss. I prayed and went in there with the confidence of David. You can’t get that in the gym.” Wolfe added, "I didn’t even try to knock her out, it’s just God-given strength. I’m just a fighter. I’ve got to feed my kids.” Wolfe, who moved her pro record to 17-1 (12 KO) with the win and added the IBA Light Heavyweight title to her previous IFBA/WIBA Junior Middleweight and IFBA/NABA Super Middleweight belts, called on Laila Ali (16-0, 13 KO), the IWBF/IBA/WIBA Super Middleweight champion, to face her at super middleweight or light heavyweight, or get out of boxing. "How much more do I have to do to prove that I deserve to fight Laila?" Wolfe said. "It should not be difficult to call Laila out now because we're in the same division." Wolfe's manager Brian Pardo added that "Laila Ali has not lived up to the legacy of her father, Muhammad Ali." Ali had previously stated that she would fight the Ward-Wolfe winner. armani_model 03-30-2006, 11:48 AM **** that looks just like in that movie with the skinny girl boxer that hits her head on a stool Yeah million dollar baby, good movie! But wow what a knockout!!! I don't think alot of men would be able to take that shot. Soldier01 03-30-2006, 12:42 PM Yea but the other one was on the canvass for longer than the video showed, the one who knocked her out was actually praying in the corner later and did feel bad about it. I was watching that fight and I sure as hell didn't see her showing any type of remorse and I watched it till they took the poor chick away on a stretcher with her mother at her side. mick66 03-30-2006, 12:51 PM Nice to see some dignity in victory.. Some people have zero class. skidro 03-30-2006, 12:57 PM That was one big ****en punch..she woulda knocked out Lewis with that one 1bad65 03-30-2006, 01:13 PM Anne actually trained some at my gym for that fight. She trained with a guy who is 6'6 250lbs. He said he has NEVER been hit harder sparring than with her. Sttuddahboy619 03-30-2006, 01:15 PM That's probably one of the most devastating ko's I've seen! opethdrums 03-30-2006, 02:15 PM http://www.nothingtoxic.com/media/1141393965/Dude_Gets_Knocked_Out ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this knockout is the worst i've seen mexigaf 03-30-2006, 02:27 PM http://www.nothingtoxic.com/media/1141393965/Dude_Gets_Knocked_Out ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this knockout is the worst i've seen Thats one of the most disgusting things ive seen. Giving exposure to that video and that tool is not cool tjmoney 03-30-2006, 02:47 PM Wow that video is disgusting. I mean, when you lay someone out like that you dont go and hit them like 5 more times when you can clearly see that they arent even moving. The scumbags sittin there watchin should beat the **** out of that guy. I swear some people would just sit by and watch someone get beaten to death before even saying a word, f****n cowards man. yrrej 03-30-2006, 03:00 PM The tall girl had no business in the ring. I wonder if the other girl is juiced.... TheBlackWallStreet 03-30-2006, 03:54 PM The tall girl had no business in the ring. I wonder if the other girl is juiced.... What an ignorant thing to say. That "tall girl" is a current champion and that was the only loss she has suffered as a pro. BloodClot 03-30-2006, 04:12 PM What an ignorant thing to say. That "tall girl" is a current champion and that was the only loss she has suffered as a pro. Exactly Vanda Ward lost once, al biet by getting KTFO, but she is a champ now. And no Anne Wolfe never fought a dude...In her last fight she barely pulled a decion against a total slob that Vanda Ward had beatin...just goes to show ya style and sometimes perfectly time punches make fights Kid Achilles 03-30-2006, 04:16 PM Wolfe is probably the hardest hitting female in boxing P4P and has a great puncher's chance with Laila Ali. Talking Turkey 03-30-2006, 04:21 PM Wolfe is probably the hardest hitting female in boxing P4P and has a great puncher's chance with Laila Ali.She's also a terrible sportsman/woman by the looks of it. Double 03-30-2006, 04:27 PM They (Ali and wolfe) need to just go ahead and fight, women's boxing has been deathly silent lately, needs a shot in the arm. 1bad65 03-30-2006, 05:40 PM Anne hits like a truck, she is just a little undisciplined. She has been on Laila to fight her for years. I think her last fight shows she is not training like she should, probably because anyone besides Ali is a letdown to her. IMHO, she would KO Ali. deuce_drop 03-30-2006, 06:54 PM Anne Wolfe is no joke, that girl can hit hard. she also has some better than average boxing skills. sometimes i think her adrenaline gets the best of her, but she's good to go. from my understanding no one wants to fight her. i've heard that L.Ali doesn't want anything to do with Wolfe and same with rest of female boxers around her weight. Derranged 03-30-2006, 07:04 PM They (Ali and wolfe) need to just go ahead and fight, women's boxing has been deathly silent lately, needs a shot in the arm. When was it ever not deadly silent? Wolfe was trying to fight a man, that would bring some attention. the traveler 03-30-2006, 07:04 PM Man, that punch looked like something Tyson used to throw. .::EnRiQuE::. 03-30-2006, 07:13 PM anne wolfe is a fucing man Dempsey 1919 03-30-2006, 07:14 PM Anne actually trained some at my gym for that fight. She trained with a guy who is 6'6 250lbs. He said he has NEVER been hit harder sparring than with her. stop lying. opethdrums 03-30-2006, 07:16 PM Thats one of the most disgusting things ive seen. Giving exposure to that video and that tool is not cool the guy he knocked out was a neo-nazi that stabbed someone in the neck in jail. **** 'im  also the 'coward' videotaping it was the camera crew.. both guys knew exactly what they were getting into. the traveler 03-30-2006, 07:16 PM stop lying. lol, word. That seems really shaky, man. Dempsey 1919 03-30-2006, 07:18 PM lol, word. That seems really shaky, man. yeah man, i mean, no 170lb "woman" boxer punches harder than a 250+lb. man boxer. bigsmoothh 03-30-2006, 07:22 PM She's also a terrible sportsman/woman by the looks of it. i would like to lay the pipe on her, just to remind her shes still a woman. :D 1bad65 03-31-2006, 03:48 PM He said that he never got hit that hard in SPARRING. Not in a fight. His point was that she A)can hit hard B)goes very hard in sparring, harder than most people he has SPARRED. |
