MESI BACK IN ACTION AGAINST BELLAMY

More than just a few boxing fans are worried for Joe Mesi's health, in light of the fact that subdural hematomas were found in the Buffalo heavyweight's head test after his last fight against Vassily Jirov. But his opponent on Saturday night - Ron Bellamy - might be an even bigger health risk. Bellamy, who is 41 years old, came woefully unequipped into a March 2005 fight with Timor Ibragimov at Madison Square Garden's theater, with 14 "wins" that were largely artificial in nature. It showed, and Bellamy was wheeled out of the building on a gurney after being flattened by Ibragimov.

On THE CHARLES JAY LINE, we're not offering a price on Mesi to win, because he's too prohibitive, but we're putting up one-way action on Bellamy, at 60/1. The fight is favored to end before the bell for Round 6 rings, and the knockdown prop is at 1.5, with the "over" favored to the tune of -110 (10/11). For those of you who figure one knockdown will be enough, we've priced the ten-count at a relatively short 7/2 (+350).
