WILL ESPN BE TELEVISING THE "MONTELL" SHOW ON FRIDAY?

Montell Griffin, you may recall, was the first fighter credited with a win over Roy Jones Jr., albeit by disqualification. But that was back in 1997. He's fought unsuccessfully for a couple of world titles since then, and dropped a title eliminator to Julio Gonzalz last time out. At age 35, he may still have some "kick" left in him. His opponent on Friday's ESPN card is Norman Jones, a veteran of 45 pro fights, who has an 0-4-1 record when venturing outside his native Savannah, GA.

This fight, coming from the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, is scheduled for 12 rounds with the USBA light heavyweight title at stake. On THE CHARLES JAY LINE, Griffin is laying 9/1 (-900), while Jones is priced at +750 (15/2 in our parlance). The fight is -220 to go the distance, and +200 to end ahead of time.

Place your "bets."
