FORMER CHAMP STEVE JOHNSTON LOOKS TO CONTINUE WINNING WAYS AGAINST ORTEGA......BUT THAT'S NOT OUR CONCERN
Ex-lightweight champion Steve Johnston has three straight wins on the comeback trail, and his promoter, Silverhawk Boxing, has him in with a relatively soft touch on Friday night. Roberto Carlos Ortega, has lost nine straight fights, but, despite a stoppage loss in his last outing, generally goes the distance in defeat. And he's done it against pretty decent fighters, such as Terrence Cauthen, Kendall Holt and Raul Balbi. He's also got a stoppage win over Henry Bruseles, who you may recall lost to Floyd Mayweather in a title eliminator last year.
The proposition here involves whether the fight will go the full ten-round distance. On THE CHARLES JAY LINE, the price on the fight going the entire ten is -180 (5/9), while it's +170 (17/10) that the bout ends inside the distance.
