Besides the contract fighters, I believe jim, and larry seem to show some favortism to Manny Pacquiao since day one they were praising him when he devoured ledwaba saying they wanna see more of him, and when he fought juan manuel marquez they had pacman winning, and even were screaming loud when he knocked jmm down 3 times, and said jmm was practically done, has anyone else noticed this? or is pacman a contracted fighter for hbo cause I have not seen him on the list of hbo fighters.

Recently Merchant rode the testicles of Sam Peter.

Roy shows his favorites but it is usually in watching the first few rounds and then he makes his analysis of who he likes in a fight. What I like about Roy is that he knows his stuff, Merchant and Lampley are good for color commentary and interviews but Roy tells it like it is. Big George use to always say, "He just needs to land that one big punch" Roy breaks it down and he knows when a fighter is on the verge of going out and makes great note of it. Prime example in the Danny Williams fight, before Williams was even all the way down Roy says thats it he's done, boy was he right :)

Lampley rides the house fighters no questions about it. Whoever is the bigger draw is his obvious choice.

I question Jim's ability to make his own choices, because he doesnt know **** about anything but the favored fighters.

Meldrick Taylor in his fight against Chavez.. the kind of cheerleading going on for him was embarrasing to commentators everywhere.

This has got to be the worst decision in the history of the sport!!!

When you KO a good prospect in Ledwaba, of cours eyou wanna see more of the fighter. When he fought JMM, no **** they'll be excited, how often do you knock a champ down three times in one round. You wanna see favoritism, go watch a DelaHoya fight. You can hear Lampley salivating while you watch.

I am a big fan of Pacman! but you have to admit they seem to always have a big ass smile when they talk of pacman even roy jones jr does. How come they did not drool over kofi jantuah when he knocked out that dude on the undercard? Larry merchant is trully a blatant manny pacquiao fan, he seems to have many negative comments with other fighters but when he talks of pacquiao he really praises him.

Oh pleassse, Lampley is all over his balls. Like in the Vargas fight...ehemm:
"When you first saw DeLaHoya, the first thing that came to mind was MY GOD what a left hook." He said it like a lil school girl with a crush. Anyweyz, even teh fight with Felix Sturm, Lampley was seing punches that weren't there. Even Sturm noticed that Lampley was all over DLH's nutz and winked at him in the middle of the fight. Then he makes a poor effort of hiding his praise for Oscar.

I didn't even know that was televised that fight. Weren't they showing a prefight hype up during this particular fight? I can't remember. Anyweyz, the most early career praise I ever heard of Pac was when he KOd Julio was Lampley comment : "This is some prospect Bobby" Hardly favoritism. Yes I think that the HBO commentators have become fans, but I don't see favoritism as much as for DLH.
