What do you all think about K1 or UFC gradually taking over Boxing's position as the biggest and best paying fight sport? Think it will happen? You think K1 or UFC will become moore popular with the general population than boxing?
Personally i would hate to see it happen, I think UFC is boring, i don't enjoy watching guys roll around on the floor, the fights are to slow. I'dont like K1 either, Think it's boring with only three rounds and boring "kick to the leg all the time" fight's.

It's very unlikely that UFC will ever surpass boxing popularity wise.

There is no way I'll let K1 or UFC be more popular than boxing. People that go to K1 or UFC are just people who couldn't make it as professional boxers.
well right now k1 is alot smaller than boxing but its popularity is grwing ****ing fast.
why cause they got 3 explosive rounds with 80%ko.
With big variety in styles and the fighters.
k1 is just about 10 years old.
so who know in 50 years it may be as big ore bigger than boxing.

Yeah right. Fighting in them floor is so boring. Boxing will still be the most exciting to watch. For the moment to avoid being bored, avoid HW boxing. :D

It won't happen. Plus, the media won't let it happen either.
Boxing is a monopoly. That's where the real money comes in.
let's take K1 for example. K1 is a more dangerous sport that pays less. Also, in K1 the fighter has more options but is strategically more difficult than boxing. Just like they say, the higher somebody makes, the less they have to do.
Also, it's very hard for a kickboxer to convert to regular boxing, since their arsenal is limited and they are not used to the new style. Just ask any kicker converting over to boxing. They will tell ya. But if there were a no holds barred street fight between a kickboxer and a boxer, I would definitely go for the kickboxer.
By the way, Vitali Klitschko is a great example of a kicker turned boxer.

well, the popularity is encreasing so there will be more mony in k1 every year.
i box active and ive sparred a lot with kickboxers, boxing against kickboxing works very well.
no problems blocking kick on the way in and when im at punching range my skills are superior.
kickboxers are bad when it comes to infighting.
And ive also fought a kickboxers outside of the ring.
He had 4 years experience i had 2 and i whopped him bad.
and were the same height, weight and age.
Boxing works better in the streets thn kickboxing cause when you were jeans and aint warmed upp and there is little room fore kicking what are we left with?????
