It was balls out. A complete war, and defintaly one of the best fights of the year so far. I'll see if I can up it for anyone who didn't catch it, but man was it ever a good tilt. :boxing:
I didnt see it but Im not happy with the result I have Monshipour in my fantasy league.

Man, that is the worst thing a fighter can do, bring their wife/gf or mom to one of their fights, and sit them front row to FEEL every damn punch.

It was over in the 10th, but it was give and take the whole way. Inbetween the 1st and last rounds seen there they lay some serious slowly sustained punishment on eachother.
I saw this fight. Definitely FOTY material. It was a phone booth war from start to finish, both fighters just throwing everything including the kitchen sink with complete disregard to defense and safety. Somsak was outgunned throughout the fight, but he's got a rock-solid chin, he kept on countering and coming whenever Mahyar pauses to take some breather. Mahyar is a relentless pressure fighter and just tries to overwhelm his opponents with a barrage of powerpunches from all angles, this time he couldn't stop his opponent who's like a sponge taking all his punishment. By rd. 9 Mahyar's all done, completely exhausted, he's just throwing pitty-patty punches at this point, while the Thai challenger still has enough energy to last another 3 rounds. On the fateful 10th rd, Mahyar was stunned by a thunderous left hook followed by 2 big overhand lefts sending him reeling on the ropes, Somsak punished him more with 5 unanswered left uppercuts, Mahyar was already punch-drunk, but the ref let 1 more big combo of right hook-left hook from the Singchatchawal before stopping the fight.
It was like watching Corrales-Castillo 1. Entertaining fight.

What an AWESOME fight. And Ive only seen the first and last rounds. The Thai guy looks like he would outweigh his opponent by atleast 10 lbs...

HAHAHAHAHA! thats hilarious! listen to the commentator and look at the ref's hands right before the end of the first round.. the commentator is like "OHH!" and the referee did like a "SUCKA!" sign.. hahahah i found that sooo funny. :D
