Slam- This movie is the first the most people saw of Saul Williams. It has the typical ghetto theme but Saul brings alot of intelligence to the movie and the slam scenes are amazing and unforgettable.

Rhyme and Reason- This flick is nostalgic. It has all the rare footage of the legends in action. Some nice breakdown of the different regions of hip hop are included in this movie.

Dark Days- This movie isn't necessarily about hip hop but it's related to hip hop in that the soundtrack is made by DJ Shadow. The soundtrack plays a major part in the movie because it expresses the feels of the atmosphere and the situation that the people face. The movie in itself is pretty good. It's a documentary detailing a group of homeless people's lives in the dark areas of NY's underground.

Beef- lol, One of the more interesting documentaries that I've seen. This movie offers all the background details behind the most infamous beefs in rap's history.

Those are actually about hip hop. There are a bunch of other movies with great soundtracks (Belly, Clockers, Do The Right Thing) but those don't center around hip hop so much.

Also, there are a bunch of good doc's, but I'm not going to sit here and list em off.

Rhyme and Reason had a good soundtrack too.

I thought it was great....I own it.The first time I watched it while I was watching it I was like MMMM I don't know but it got better and better and the next time I watched I was like you know what this is a good ****ing flick.

I'm looking into picking up Wildstyle but the ****in library I frequent doesn't have it.

True.........Thats what I meant earlier the **** he was saying when he first started freestyling and **** I was like ?????WTF but then when they started making songs and **** and getting that Hoe involved it just took off and it was a great story anyway.

Best rap mockumentary is Fear of a Black Hat, much better than CB4.
Whiteboyz is also far superior to Malibu's Most Wanted.

State Property 2 has a bunch of rappers and B-hop and Winky Wright. They dont play big roles but thier in there i think tito is too.

I think 8 Mile is the best hip hop related movie Ive seen. That soundtrack was sick, great 90s rap.
