Explosivo 01-26-2005, 11:15 AM Thats ****ing crazy. **** like that happened on a daily basis when I was in school and no one even got in trouble for it. I agree with the parents that the school and families should be the ones who punish.

Officer Threatens To Arrest Woman For Anti-Bush Sticker
POSTED: 1:42 pm EST January 25, 2005
DENVER -- Some people are angry when they see Shasta Bates' derogatory bumper sticker about President George W. Bush -- but she didn't think she'd be threatened with arrest because of it.
The Denver Police Department is investigating a sergeant who allegedly threatened to arrest the 26-year-old for displaying the bumper sticker.
Bates said she was told by the sergeant Tuesday that her bumper sticker was illegal because it was profane. She said he told her he'd arrest her if she didn't remove it.
But City Attorney Cole Finegan said he doesn't believe there's any city ordinance against displaying a profane bumper sticker.
Colorado ACLU Legal Director Mark Silverstein said the alleged threat of arrest clearly violates First Amendment protection.

That article sucked. They didn't even show the bumper sticker or tell us what it said.
I knew this chick in college who made a bumper sticker calling Janet reeno and the FBI murderers for what happened at Waco. Somebody came and tore it off her car.

phallus 01-26-2005, 11:03 PM Its ****ing Florida.....what do you expect?
this doesn't surprise me that much, a similar case happened also in Florida about ten years ago, but there was a little more to it. This guy, Mike Diana used to draw an independent comic strip that had graphic violence in it, like, i think one of the cartoons had a little guy with a huge dick ****ing this girl while cutting her up with a giant bloody knnife. No actual person was ever harmed by his comics but The Florida state court ordered him to stop drawing cartoons or even doodles for the rest of his life unless he wants to go to jail. he moved to New York instead and started his comic right up again. i don't know what happened to him after that.
The Fix 01-27-2005, 01:22 AM them getting arrested is stupid. i remember in elementry me and my freinds would fight everyday and say things worse than what was depicted in thier drawings and those kids get arrested, thats bull****
DR. FREECLOUD 01-27-2005, 11:34 AM i know here we can't have profane bumper stickers or t-shirts.
