View Full Version : Trinidad/Margarito - who would win?
The Wire 03-13-2006, 02:50 PM I think Trinidad would win in an absolute war.
Do you think that there is any chance of maybe Tito coming back just so we can see this? I, personally, think it would be one of the best fights EVER.
RAESAAD 03-13-2006, 02:51 PM Yeah it would be good **** no doubt.........Trinidad would probably win but I would not be shocked either way.
It would be a moral victory for Tony to make it out of the fifth round. You can count on that.
dudes - ever since i saw margarito against diaz to win the title i was SCREAMING for this fight. this would have been a psychotic fight, GAWD!!!
honestly, w/ how humble they both are the press conference would have been gatti/ward type - then like 20 palestinians detonating themselves simultaneously in the ring at the first bell.
too damn bad this never came off, this would have been amazing. :boxing:
GunStar 03-13-2006, 03:03 PM It would be a moral victory for Tony to make it out of the fifth round. You can count on that.Yup I agree.....If Tito can knockout a guy like Mayorga at 160, then just imagine what he will do at 147 to Tony.
Roberto_Roldan_ 03-13-2006, 04:51 PM Im a amargarito fan but i think Tito is too big for him, i dont see him getting knocked out but it would eb an easy UD fot Tito
mic573 03-13-2006, 05:26 PM Margarito would be absolutely destroyed and knocked out Mayorga style.
Undefeated 03-13-2006, 05:35 PM Tito wins by KO in the 7th round.. I don't see Margarito lasting more than 8 rounds.
borikua 03-13-2006, 05:37 PM If we are talking about Tito at 147 in his prime, then he would win by KO imo. At 154 right now it would be a war but I would give the edge to Tito, Tito is more accurate than Tony and Tony doesn't have the best defense, plus Tony hasn't look to good at 154. If Santos was able to rock Tony a few times, imagine what Tito could have done. Still it would have been a great fight. I personally would have loved to see Tito retire after the fight with Mayorga.
I mean really.... you have a hall of famer against a better-than-average fighter.
TacoMuerte 03-13-2006, 06:14 PM lol There would be so many KD's in that fight..
lol There would be so many KD's in that fight..
Yeah 8 total.
Trinidad on the canvas 1 time from a push.
TacoMuerte 03-13-2006, 06:21 PM lol Trinidad go's down more than Bella Donna, so be serious..Those big ass arms and fist's of Tony landed on Trini would have a drastic outcome.

Perhaps.
Santos landed a sissy left hand on Margarito....and Tony looked like he was trying to waterskii without a boat or Skiis.
TacoMuerte 03-13-2006, 06:24 PM But he walked right through Cintron's right hand..
But he walked right through Cintron's right hand..
Cintron never landed a single good punch in the fight.

Tito hasn't been down more than once in any fight that I can remember. Those big ass arms and fists of Margarito wouldn't do a damn thing. If you seriously think Margarito has a better shot than Mayorga did you're crazy. Margarito fights in almost the exact same way as Mayorga and we all seen what Tito did to him.
Tito by a vicious beatdown with the ref showing mercy on a helpless Margarito.
boogbx 03-13-2006, 06:57 PM I'm a huge fan of Margarito, but Trinidad would absolutely wreck him.
psychopath 03-13-2006, 07:04 PM The agility and all around skills advantage goes to Tito, so I'll go with Tito if this fight ever happens.
