View Full Version : Tszyu vs Hatton enadeus 01-26-2005, 12:31 AM Does Hatton have a chance against Tszyu? MetalVomit 01-26-2005, 12:39 AM Does Hatton have a chance against Tszyu? Yes, but Tszyu is going beat the hell out that kid. Knicksman20 01-26-2005, 12:43 AM Yes, but Tszyu is going beat the hell out that kid. Yeah KT's gonna paint his faced with straight rights. If he was buzzed by Vince Philips right hands, he's in a world of trouble against a technician like KT. !!Captain 01-26-2005, 01:43 AM No way in hell. Boxhead2012 01-26-2005, 01:45 AM I hope Tszyu takes him apart. There's just something about Hatton that I don't like. Maybe it's that stupid song that he walks into the ring to. Wait a minute, Tszyu has one just as bad. Oh well, go Tszyu!!! SonnyJ 01-26-2005, 07:33 AM Yeah KT's gonna paint his faced with straight rights. If he was buzzed by Vince Philips right hands, he's in a world of trouble against a technician like KT. vince phillips tko'd tszyu! kostya has learnt from that. he will take hatton apart IF they meet. J ! 01-26-2005, 08:25 AM Does Hatton have a chance against Tszyu? simply put yes. Everyone has written off hatton, thats a dangerous thing to do. Im not saying hatton will win but here is a reasoned argument why he stands a decent chance. Kostya is knocking on now as a light welter he is ageing. You never know when I fighter is gonna turn old and Hatton has a workrate to expose this if Kostya starts blowing a bit. Secondly since his injury Kostya has had three rounds when he dismantled Sharmba Mitchell. However while Kostya was impressive Sharmba looked shot to ****. He fought the wrong fight and seemed terrified to me, again as an ageing fighter Mitchell's style relies on reflex and speed, he had neither on the night. Hatton would also have dismanlted Mitchell based on that performance. So Kostya may not be quite as ring sharp and prepared as he may like, Hatton could expose this. As a "protected" fighter we just dont know how good Hatton is, nobody has extended him simple as that. Could he be better than he is being given credit for after all he has been stopping guys who have never been halted before who have fought at the top (stewart oliveria). Desire Hatton wants to prove the critics wrong he wants it so bad. Home advantage, its gonna be one of th biggest events in the british sporting calender, the support and hostility to Zoo (especially as he is an adopted Aussie and the Ashes are on in they UK this year so the banter flying between us poms and the Aussies will be in full force) Has Kosta fought a man who is in his prime, whose workrate is second to none and who is likely to test his stamina of late. Simple answer is no, so it evens it out a little in my book. I still have it 60-40 in favour of Zoo and that big right hand BUT if hatton can work out a strategy to negate that honey punch, I can see him pulling off an upset. ;) marvelous_TG 01-26-2005, 08:50 AM simply put yes. Truth 01-26-2005, 08:54 AM Yes, but Tszyu is going beat the hell out that kid. I think Tszyu wins this fight also markosg19 01-26-2005, 08:56 AM unless Hatton radically changes his style he is mince-meat J ! 01-26-2005, 09:09 AM well he boxed off the back against tackie so he can do that. that is not the way I would advise Hatton to fight Zoo though, Zoo is also a notoriously slow starter.......if I were hatton id start at furious pace, moving in and out of range mixing up not too muc to the body as Zoo will be looking for that. Hatotn has a dig its not concussive power but its spiteful enough. Cletus Funk 01-26-2005, 09:17 AM unless Hatton radically changes his style he is mince-meat What style would you suggest; Judah's, Mitchell's, Tackie's? I'd stick with pressuring him like Phillips did, especially as he's even better at it. KT won't have room for the big right most of the time as Hatton will be right on top of him, head to head. As long he works on not lunging with the left hook and slipping the right from distance he should be fairly safe from it. KT also doesn't seem to enjoy fighting off the back foot and loses a fair amount of power from his shots when he's forced to do this, which Hatton should make him do as KT doesn't have he work rate or brute strength to force Hatton back. Hatton by UD or late bodyshot KO if he does this. J ! 01-26-2005, 09:36 AM What style would you suggest; Judah's, Mitchell's, Tackie's? J ! 01-26-2005, 09:56 AM OR LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE GAME. Dont get me worng I **** up as much as most (danny williams anyone) but at least I give reasoning to my thoughts. ophqui 01-26-2005, 10:32 AM he's definately got a chance. I dont really see how anyone can say 'oh hattons a loser, he'll get killed' when hatton is undefeated. Simply put, that makes him an unknown quantity, and no one can really be sure of how he'll do against the best in the world. Sure he's never fought anyone of that level before, but that doesnt mean he's NOT someone of that level. Personally, i think it'll be an early K.O for zoo, or a late one for hatton. Hatton probably wont win a decision if the fight is in the U.S Zab Super Judah 01-26-2005, 10:34 AM hes got a chance because KT isn't exactly the hardest guy to hit......it all depends who can take more punishment.....Hatton will differently get punished but so will KT.....Right now I still think KT wins on points but I'm sure my prediction will change closer to fight nigth J ! 01-26-2005, 10:35 AM he's definately got a chance. No, he doesn't. Not a chance in hell. Floydmayweather 01-26-2005, 10:59 AM No to beat Zoo u have to have a great defense his accuracy on his punches is great Hatton gets hit to easily. He will go to sleep for sure. :p Cletus Funk 01-26-2005, 11:05 AM OR LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE GAME. Dont get me worng I **** up as much as most (danny williams anyone) but at least I give reasoning to my thoughts. I was there with you on the Williams fight and I'll hold my hands up if KT does batter the **** out of him. Can't wait to find out :) J ! 01-26-2005, 11:08 AM you gonna go frank? Im defo going **** it getting the mutz nuts ringside gonna spunk a wedge of money. i could always cover it for the BBN and get press passes but I wanna suck it in and enjoy it. Go with a few mates and go mental ship it in. BrooklynBomber 01-26-2005, 12:18 PM Is it official that they fight? Cletus Funk 01-26-2005, 12:23 PM you gonna go frank? I grew up in Leeds and most of my friends and family are still up there so I might see if any of them are up for it as it's not far and a few of them are Hatton fans. I'm due a visit up there anyway and I've not been out on the piss in Manchester for years. You'll have to let me know when the tickets go on sale if you here before me. They can't really be expecting 40,000 for that game. They should shift it to Bury or something. J ! 01-27-2005, 06:48 AM exactly, or play it the day after its bloody womens footbal for crying out loud. Who spends their sat night watching friggin womens football. J ! 01-27-2005, 08:07 AM fight is confirmed at the MEN. 4th June. Cletus Funk 01-27-2005, 08:12 AM fight is confirmed at the MEN. 4th June. Even better, should be an awesome atmosphere. J ! 01-27-2005, 08:25 AM tickets on sale 3rd feb. realtim 01-27-2005, 08:29 AM Hatton does have a chance he's got decent physical strength he doesnt get pushed around but there are a number of bad habits he's developed. He is open to right hands big time when he leans down for the left hook to the body(he's good at that shot by the way) but the experienced fighters are wise to it by keeping there elbow close to the ribs. Cuts havent been a problem as of late but they can also resurface. Hattons punch resistance is a a dodgy one its ok i guess, Eammon Magee stunned him in the first round but didnt capatilise on it. Tackie stunned him a couple of times in the 12th round. I think Zoo will still win but i wouldnt be overly shocked if Hatton won. Cletus Funk 01-27-2005, 08:39 AM tickets on sale 3rd feb. Nice one mate. Looks like I'll be there - I've spoken to a few of my mates up there and they're well up for it. See you ringside buddy :D J ! 01-27-2005, 08:45 AM count on it mate  Pullcounter 01-27-2005, 09:43 AM Hatton will get KOed, he won't make it to the final bell. I don't even know if he'll get past the 5th. BrooklynBomber 01-27-2005, 11:45 AM So Tszyu vs Hatton is officially on!!!. Cant wait to see Hatton's ass handed to him by Tszyu. Tszyu by a KO. (Tszyu Crew) theironone 01-27-2005, 02:29 PM Hatton has a chance but i still think he'll get beat, and i'll be ringside cheering my balls off for the sun-bed lover Eyeh8you 01-27-2005, 02:31 PM Man all the duds on this site hate Hatton! I say this fight will be very competitive! Look for Tszuy to win UD or MD! I'll bet any one here a 20 spot that Hatton does not get KTFO! theironone 01-27-2005, 02:34 PM i'm a huge fan of hatton and i hope he kicks somes ass but i just don't think he will elveiel 01-27-2005, 05:56 PM Does Hatton have a chance against Tszyu? I'm a big Tszyu fan but he's not perfect, he get hurt easily, Hatton's style gives him a lot of angles and great variety shots to fire at Tszyu. At this moment in time i'm slighty favouring Tszyu but i've been watching a lot their fights recently and if Hatton gets it right Tszyu will be beaten, you only have to watch the Lejia fight to see how a smart game plan can be very effective against Tszyu, i dont think there's any doubt that Hattons far better than Lejia. Knicksman20 01-27-2005, 06:10 PM vince phillips tko'd tszyu! kostya has learnt from that. he will take hatton apart IF they meet. Thats exactly what I meant. Hatton fought old Vince Philips & was buzzed on a couple of occasions by his right hands. We all know KT's one of the best technicians in the game. He's gonna pick Hatton apart whether he stops him or goes the distance. Eyeh8you 01-27-2005, 08:00 PM Um I saw that fight, could you please point out this "buzzed" rd and time cause I have seen the fight like 5 X and in no time did I see Hatton remotely in trouble.! Knicksman20 01-27-2005, 08:10 PM Um I saw that fight, could you please point out this "buzzed" rd and time cause I have seen the fight like 5 X and in no time did I see Hatton remotely in trouble.! I don't remember the exact round but it was toward the middle of the fight & it was maybe 15 seconds left in the round. Philips landed a solid right on the button. Hatton wobbled after getting hit by that punch. When Hatton went back to his corner, while standing his corner threw water in his face to because his head was still cloudy. At the start of the round Hatton was very tentative but Philips was so gassed he couldn't follow up. marvdave 01-27-2005, 08:30 PM Does Hatton have a chance against Tszyu? none whatsoever. outclassed I'm afraid. I like Hatton but he has bitten off more this time. I think Ricky will try and come out fast against KT, and that spells trouble. Hatton has heart and will give it his all, but in the end KT will KO Hatton. Too much power and experience for Ricky. simeraksou 01-27-2005, 09:15 PM hatton should be knocked out within 4 rounds by a tszyu right hand elveiel 01-28-2005, 12:58 PM I don't remember the exact round but it was toward the middle of the fight & it was maybe 15 seconds left in the round. The only time i've ever seen Hatton even slighty hurt was against Phillips, he landed a massive uppercut which made Hatton hold for a couple of seconds. tracylee 01-28-2005, 01:25 PM The only time i've ever seen Hatton even slighty hurt was against Phillips, he landed a massive uppercut which made Hatton hold for a couple of seconds. Well, get ready and you'll see him hurt once again..thanks to K.T. :p Knicksman20 01-28-2005, 06:13 PM The only time i've ever seen Hatton even slighty hurt was against Phillips, he landed a massive uppercut which made Hatton hold for a couple of seconds. Yeah, that was the only time I've ever seen him in any real danger too. elveiel 01-28-2005, 07:02 PM Well, get ready and you'll see him hurt once again..thanks to K.T. :p elveiel goes to drastic measures to keep Hatton hater Tracylee quiet!! :D http://www.funnypictures2.com/albums/shutup/stfucunt.jpg Your funny mate, always trying to keep the English man down, LOL!! I really hope your wrong and Hatton hands Tszyu a beating ;) elveiel 01-28-2005, 07:05 PM Yeah, that was the only time I've ever seen him in any real danger too. Yeah, it was a very nice uppercut!! I dont thinks Hattons the type of fighter who get hurt easily though, he's far too head strong to allow pain to register, but if anyone can hand pain out its Kostya Tszyu! Dark Destroyer 01-28-2005, 08:02 PM It should be interesting but of course i am supporting my fellow countryman 110%. I think Hatton is at his peak and this will be an amazing test and jump up in class of opponent. If Hatton can take Tszyu's power then i think Hatton will out work Tszyu to the cards but it will be good to see how Hatton copes with Tszyu's power. This is going to be wild :D tracylee 01-29-2005, 01:40 PM elveiel goes to drastic measures to keep Hatton hater Tracylee quiet!! :D http://www.funnypictures2.com/albums/shutup/stfucunt.jpg Your funny mate, always trying to keep the English man down, LOL!! I really hope your wrong and Hatton hands Tszyu a beating ;) Keep me quiet?? BEST of luck with that, buddy! :p You'd have better luck beating Tszyu yourself than shutting me up! Who knows how this fight will go...if it comes to a decision, actually goes to the cards, the OF COURSE Hatton will win..he's in his own backyard after all. Uh oh, I should have never posted that since I wont be around the rest of the day to defend myself against your 'come back'!! Thats ok, I'll catch ya later! |
