Everyone has written off hatton, thats a dangerous thing to do. Im not saying hatton will win but here is a reasoned argument why he stands a decent chance.

Kostya is knocking on now as a light welter he is ageing. You never know when I fighter is gonna turn old and Hatton has a workrate to expose this if Kostya starts blowing a bit.

Secondly since his injury Kostya has had three rounds when he dismantled Sharmba Mitchell. However while Kostya was impressive Sharmba looked shot to ****. He fought the wrong fight and seemed terrified to me, again as an ageing fighter Mitchell's style relies on reflex and speed, he had neither on the night. Hatton would also have dismanlted Mitchell based on that performance. So Kostya may not be quite as ring sharp and prepared as he may like, Hatton could expose this.

As a "protected" fighter we just dont know how good Hatton is, nobody has extended him simple as that. Could he be better than he is being given credit for after all he has been stopping guys who have never been halted before who have fought at the top (stewart oliveria).

Desire Hatton wants to prove the critics wrong he wants it so bad.

Home advantage, its gonna be one of th biggest events in the british sporting calender, the support and hostility to Zoo (especially as he is an adopted Aussie and the Ashes are on in they UK this year so the banter flying between us poms and the Aussies will be in full force)

good post, i agree, but i think tszyu has the style to beat hatton who hasn't faced anyone near the beast tszyu is. hatton straight forward style is gonna play right into tszyu hands, and i should not count on tszyu puffing, his condiotioning is perfect. is say tszyu KO3 or 4.

well he boxed off the back against tackie so he can do that.
that is not the way I would advise Hatton to fight Zoo though, Zoo is also a notoriously slow starter.......if I were hatton id start at furious pace, moving in and out of range mixing up not too muc to the body as Zoo will be looking for that.

Hatotn has a dig its not concussive power but its spiteful enough.

Simply put, that makes him an unknown quantity, and no one can really be sure of how he'll do against the best in the world. Sure he's never fought anyone of that level before, but that doesnt mean he's NOT someone of that level. Personally, i think it'll be an early K.O for zoo, or a late one for hatton. I'm thinking about it. I grew up in Leeds and most of my friends and family are still up there so I might see if any of them are up for it as it's not far and a few of them are Hatton fans. I'm due a visit up there anyway and I've not been out on the piss in Manchester for years. You'll have to let me know when the tickets go on sale if you here before me.

Hatton does have a chance he's got decent physical strength he doesnt get pushed around but there are a number of bad habits he's developed. He is open to right hands big time when he leans down for the left hook to the body(he's good at that shot by the way) but the experienced fighters are wise to it by keeping there elbow close to the ribs. Cuts havent been a problem as of late but they can also resurface. Hattons punch resistance is a a dodgy one its ok i guess, Eammon Magee stunned him in the first round but didnt capatilise on it. Tackie stunned him a couple of times in the 12th round. I think Zoo will still win but i wouldnt be overly shocked if Hatton won.

I'm a big Tszyu fan but he's not perfect, he get hurt easily, Hatton's style gives him a lot of angles and great variety shots to fire at Tszyu.

At this moment in time i'm slighty favouring Tszyu but i've been watching a lot their fights recently and if Hatton gets it right Tszyu will be beaten, you only have to watch the Lejia fight to see how a smart game plan can be very effective against Tszyu, i dont think there's any doubt that Hattons far better than Lejia.

Thats exactly what I meant. Hatton fought old Vince Philips & was buzzed on a couple of occasions by his right hands. We all know KT's one of the best technicians in the game. He's gonna pick Hatton apart whether he stops him or goes the distance.

Hatton wobbled after getting hit by that punch. When Hatton went back to his corner, while standing his corner threw water in his face to because his head was still cloudy. At the start of the round Hatton was very tentative but Philips was so gassed he couldn't follow up.

none whatsoever. outclassed I'm afraid. I like Hatton but he has bitten off more this time. I think Ricky will try and come out fast against KT, and that spells trouble. Hatton has heart and will give it his all, but in the end KT will KO Hatton. Too much power and experience for Ricky.

It should be interesting but of course i am supporting my fellow countryman 110%. I think Hatton is at his peak and this will be an amazing test and jump up in class of opponent. If Hatton can take Tszyu's power then i think Hatton will out work Tszyu to the cards but it will be good to see how Hatton copes with Tszyu's power. This is going to be wild :D
