I think that Evander embodies everything that is good about the sweet science. yeah except for the not retiring part. evander though was a warrior and a top 15 heavyweight all time. he was definatley a top 2 heavy of the ninties.(lennox is the only one who rivals him) Warrior Spirit 01-26-2005, 12:05 AM yeah except for the not retiring part. evander though was a warrior and a top 15 heavyweight all time. he was definatley a top 2 heavy of the ninties.(lennox is the only one who rivals him) Yes it hurts my heart to know that he is still fighting. I haven't watched him fight since he lost to Chris Byrd. Its just too sad. The Fix 01-26-2005, 12:06 AM Yes it hurts my heart to know that he is still fighting. I haven't watched him fight since he lost to Chris Byrd. Its just too sad. well atleast he didnt get KO'ed in his last two fights like my fav roy. that johnson fight was hard to watch Warrior Spirit 01-26-2005, 12:11 AM well atleast he didnt get KO'ed in his last two fights like my fav roy. that johnson fight was hard to watch I am a fan of Roy as well, the naysayers can say what they want about him, but he was something special in his prime. When I saw Jones go down in the ninth against Johnson I felt horrible. I went to go see a movie after the fight and all I could think about was Roy on the canvas, not moving. That was the end of an era. The Fix 01-26-2005, 12:13 AM I am a fan of Roy as well, the naysayers can say what they want about him, but he was something special in his prime. That was the end of an era yeah it was an end of an era and i hope that some new guys can fill in for both guys because boxing needs some superstars Warrior Spirit 01-26-2005, 12:17 AM yeah it was an end of an era and i hope that some new guys can fill in for both guys because boxing needs some superstars I truly think that Floyd Mayweather is the man to take his place as boxing's P4P best. But PBF needs to start fighting the best competition in whatever weight class he wants to make his mark in. I mean I hear now that he is calling out Oscar at 147? Why not take care of business at 140? The Fix 01-26-2005, 12:20 AM I truly think that Floyd Mayweather is the man to take his place as boxing's P4P best.
