I jammed it for about a week but not much after that. I was expecting much more from it. You want to hear a great album pick up that new Geto Boys. That album blows out any album coming out lately.

There is only one Geto Boys that I recognize and like The Fix said Bushwick is alive and well and still bringing that heat.

Yeah there's always gonna be a few rappers or groups who doesn't focus on that such was Public Enemy, KRS - ONE.... Today Mos Def.... but for the most part it's a bunch of bull really. I think hip hop has pretty much remained the same, it's just these days its truly lacking in the creativity department. G -UNIT SUCKS ASS!

Hip-Hop has lost its soul. No one is talking about anything anymore. Its just so cliche filled now its not even funny.

What year did you start listening to rap? I'm guessing within the last decade...Yeah and.... I mean there are some guys at my work who barely turned 21 and I ask 'em which era of rappers are better today or yester - years, and almost unamimously they all say between the late 80's thru mid 90's..... What does that tell you?!

Go to a used CD shop and pick up:

Public Enemy
De La Soul
A Tribe Called Quest
The Roots
The Jungle Brothers
Eric B and Rakim
EPMD

very little if any of the whole cash, money, and hoes mess...

I also liked a Latino duo called Lighter Shade of Brown. They weren't anything special, but they actually, though they were "street" had a very pleasant tone; I remember liking their Layin in the Cut album...

There's a time and place for gangsta lyrics and "How I'm Livin'", but I don't want to see the cop killa doing an intro for an MTV soap opera or appearing on the front of Teen People or some kid showing a bunch of rented jewelry in his debut video.
