Hi there, ive been boxing for quite a while now about 3 - 4 months or so, but lately ( in the last 2 or 3 lessons) I can't seem to win a fight, i hesitate to punch, my punches are soft and lazy, however i keep a good stance. If any one could help me with ways to be proved id be very thankful. Kaz

pic up a new sport/hobbie because if you can't punch with CONVICTION, then you don't belong in boxing...punch through your target, not at it

I'm not sure what the problem is but expect that you're going to get hit. Also, try and get 'pumped' before the fight/lesson and maybe listening to some music will help. Good luck!
you need a break and don't listen to music before a fight, shadow box and stay focused.
you shut up and work through it. Sounds harsh but that's what you do.
Hesitation comes from the fact that you are too scared to let your arms be out there because you might get hit. And if you cant do that in training only god knows what you will do during a real match.
When you sparr tell your partner to go slow and dont punch at full power in the begining so both of you can get into it and then gradually build up. Nothing is impossible to conquer but nothing will change if you dont have the mindset and are willing to take a lick or two.

Like so many new kids your probably just fighting too tight. Once you get experienced youll loosen up. Loosen up and youll find that snap at the end of your shots again.

Its cause uve been hurt when ur trying to learn to spar, u need to spar with someone who is experieneced and will be able to help u and not bust u up. Dont think of it as a fight....its a learning curve. It takes time kid it dont happen over night but once u got that confidence u will be fine. If ur punches are soft and slow u need heavy bag work and use the spped bag too. Just keep sparing but make sure u learn, no point getting hammered and not enjoying yaself. Plenty of time for that :)

Might have something to do with you being afraid of hurting someone?

your supposed to fight more experienced fighters... more of a challenge and your learn mroe things...
any how... you gotta learn how to take a punch and give one or else your walways gonna be scared....
you gotta throw punches wiht commitment, and dont think to much..
