For the loss to Roy Jones? Jones beats Nard, Nard Stops Johnson and Johnson knocks Roy out.... Redemption or does he have to fight Jones?

Hopkins will never get the credit for beating Roy Jones unless he beats Roy Jones. Just because they had different outcomes against a common opponent doesn't mean that Hopkins sleeps easier at night. The Roy Jones that beat Hopkins is a much different Roy Jones than the one that fought Glen Johnson.

Hopkins will never fight Jones again, not even now, that he has been Ko'd twice, in a row.

Because Jones was never a welterweight.

The loss to Jones is not even held against Hopkins....he doesn't need redemption.

He lost a decision to a guy, in Roy, who would then become one of the (if not the) best fighters for almost a full decade.

Agreed. Hop lost to Superman...so what.

However the fight would have been different if it were the Hop of today fighting that version of Roy.

the Jones loss will have no bearing on Hopkins status. It was years ago and he lost a decision to Jones. I doubt it will ever be brought up much when discussing Hopkins after he retires.

Fighting Jones now does nothing for him. It will never happen. He needs no redemption. I do wish he would stop picking on those little guys :D

I think Roy still wins because his style gives Hopkins style trouble in my opinion.
